We had a wonderful vacation on HHI. We stayed at the Shipyard Plantation in The Cottages. We were unable to reserve Disney at 6 months out.
We went to the beach every day, heat index was 112, so we spent a lot of our time in the water.
We especially enjoyed the Palmetto Star dinner cruise. We were able to make a reservation for Tuesday night, so it was the cruise, dinner and fireworks viewing from the boat. It was a fun and elegant evening.
Also visited Harbortown, Guiseppi's and Mellow Mushroom for pizza, Skillets for breakfast(very good), The Smokehouse (ok) and Nick's Steak and Seafood which was really good. The portions were large for the price and tasty. The crab legs portion was very generous.
Walked over to Disney for my Disney fix and bought a T-shirt and member pins.
We had fun playing miniature golf at Pirate's Island Adventure.
Tuesday night Shelter Cove had local crafters' booths with some very nice handmade items.
We had planned to visit Savannah, but the heat made us want to stay near the water, so maybe next time.
