I used to love buying shoes but since I broke my ankle last year I just stick to Tevas and sneakers.

Many years ago my son had to do a shoe chart for class of all the shoes in his house by family member. This earned me the moniker "the Imelda Marcos of the third grade". I have about 90 now, BUT some are 10 years old and I just need to toss them out. That said, I actually wear about 10 pair.

I HATE shoes.. I despise them. They are awful awful things! If I could get away with it I"d never wear them again!! awful awful things!!! I also do not own a purse I do have a wristlet and even then I usually just keep that in the car and take cash or my debit card with me while shopping. I'm so not a girly girl!

This AM I heard on a trivia show here in Canada that the average is 17 pairs!

I thought this number was high b/c personally I own 6 pairs.

1 Running Shoe
1 Winter Boot
1 Dress Boot
2 Sandles

The Running shoes are comfort only transition between the Walking shoes and Winter Boots for our Colderrr climate!

I'm 35 and female in the US.

I have probably close to 40 maybe more pairs of shoes.
I have a variety of high heels for events from casual to fancy.
I keep several pairs of flats in my car in a tub.
I have 4 pairs of boots including 1 snow boot.
I only 1 pair of sneakers though

I have never ever owned a pair of crocs, though.
