We only had 19. Last year we had 59. Don't know what happened. Maybe there are less kids in the development.
None. We had a huge wind/rain storm on Monday. There were so many trees down, power lines down, and no electricity in many, many areas, so several towns announced that Halloween was postponed until tonight (Friday). We still have no power (although 90% of the area residents have had power restored), so if the town IS doing trick-or-treating tonight, I don't know if we'll participate. We can't turn on the porch light anyhow, and the front yard has some holes, rocks, etc.; DH isn't happy about having kids traipsing around in the dark. It's hard enough without power- all we need is for somebody to hit a hole an break an ankle.
I'm ready for the power to come back on...
Zero
I had some fives ready just in case we got some. I just give out money if we get any. 1. I don’t need or anyone on the house need any left over candy. 2. Kids don’t need candy. They will already have enough. My house sits off the road a ways on a rural street so don’t get many trick or treaters. Been a few years since I got any.
I am guessing they had X# pieces of candy and only gave 1 per kid or 2 and counted remaining. I'm going to do that next time because I am curious. The house we lived in for the last 10 Halloween's, before this one, had like 30-40 kids come and my new house, this year, was a crazy mad rush. Didn't know that happened.I love all the people here who are providing exact numbers, like you kept a notebook with you and made hash marks for each kid!
