How to communicate with Aulani for room requests

We haven't been to Aulani in a few years, and I just booked a 1 bedroom OV for my son. How do we communicate room requests for Aulani?

Are you DVC? If so, then go through MS like any other DVC resort.

I have never stayed as non-DVC, so I'm not sure otherwise. I would assume that you can call them.

I've gone as non-DVC, and I've always just called the booking number and let them know my requests. They note it in the reservation.
