Hurricane Possibility again? Oct 7-9?

Looks like a category 1 is developing and they say right now it's headed to the panhandle but that can change. We arrive on Saturday and our first park day is Sunday.

Does anyone know more about this?

Well, it's not formed yet so no one is really going to know more about it.

What little known for now is it's going to be moving fast, very fast.
We fly in tomorrow for a 10 day trip. Not worried. We're bringing rain gear. Like we do for any Disney trip.

Hi - I recommend looking at the National Hurricane Center site - http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/ - they're giving this a near-0% chance of formation in the next 48 hrs and calling it a "trough of low pressure." Must be a slow news day at the Sentinel.

I believe that OP is referring to TD #16. Much too soon to tell where it's going.

October is the time of the hurricane season when the Gulf starts to act funny.

Tropical depression sixteen may or not become a named storm. It may or may not make landfall in Florida. We’ll find out.

Expected to be a TS in the next 24 hours, with strengthening expected after that.

Oh my, first time I've seen that. I'll never get home! I've been in Illinois since hurricane Irma. I was planning to drive home this weekend. Might have to replan this.
