I hope we love it! I am sure we will! Uh no - we don't! Mickeystoontown's 16 day trip! Updated 9/5!

I’m enjoying your report! It’s been a crazy… uh… (checks calendar) month and a half, but I’m still here!

Enjoying your report so much! What fun to ride up to the castle. We did that one time and it was so fun (and saved a few steps!). I like seeing the food pictures so I can get ideas for our December trip. We have always had the dining plan, so I want to do more quick service this time to save a little money. My daughter is older and isn’t as interested in the character meals as when she was younger.

Years ago, we walked from Hollywood Studios to Beach Club and it was hot so it seemed longer than it was. That memory still clouds our mind even though we now travel during the cooler months.

Yes, absolutely awful. I thought I was going to have heat stroke by the time we reached BC from HS. It was much longer than I expected.

Just checkin' in to see if ya'll are still hanging in with me. I'm trying to post often!
Still here, only check the Dis once a week now days since I don't see any trips in my future. That ride down Main Street -- wow, folks really don't want to get out of the way, do they?

Thanks for posting to let me know you are here with me!

Isn't it cool to have a cast member ride you right down the middle of Main Street USA?!

I'm ready for the dining plan to return. For our family, it made it easier to plan our meals.

That was us! It was hot and we were sweaty and felt yuck before we made it.

Totally understand how it's tough to be on the Dis when you don't have a trip planned. You know where to find me though when/if you start planning.

The poor cast member kept honking and tooting the horn and people just kept walking right in front of the car.

Girl I'm here. I greatly enjoy your trip reports! How exciting to score that special escort to the castle! So fun! Love those Dole Whips. We usually go during the Fall of the year and we have to eat the Dole Whips super fast before they completely melt. Hope you had a fabulous time at the Christmas Party. We went one year and it was so fun! The snow flurries on Main Street was amazing!

I've always enjoyed your trip reports. And I just want to say you seem like such a fun couple!

We had decided on the citrus Dole Whip that came with a cute little cake pop.

Yum!! Looks super refreshing!

I'm glad to have found another Mickeystoontown trip report. I'm mostly a lurker but I have read many of your reports. We went last Christmas and decided we won't be going so often, if at all. Everything is so expensive it seems and I didn't like paying extra for Genie+. Plus we are in our 70's and it was more walking back and forth to get to the rides. It was our most expensive trip ever and not as much fun. After our kids and grandkids left we did our last week without paying for any rides. We enjoyed that much more. For the first time I didn't feel the urge to go back after we got home.

We've never been on the front of BTMRR! Definitely hard for pictures, but I bet it would be fun.

That Dole Whip looks yum. I can't wait to have one!

I'm so glad that you are still here! I sometimes wonder if I am typing just to hear myself....well....type and talk out loud (sometimes).
Hi Lisa, long time reader 1st time responder. Really enjoying your report.
Welcome! Thank you for posting! I hope that you will post more often. I love making friends on the Dis,

Awww, thank you! I like to think that we are pretty fun to be around.

And I' glad that you are here! I hate that you left without the desire to go back. Maybe absence will make the heart grow fonder.
I am here reading away and enjoying. Looking forward to the rest of the group getting there.
We were itching for them to get there!

Well lookie here....It's Mrs. I Just Paid Off My Trip So It's Gettin' Real Now! It was fun riding on the front of BTMRR but it was definitely hard to take good pics

Sorry for the absence. My "real life" work has been really busy as has my planning business. There are worse things to complain about so I'll leave it at "I've been busy!". Jesse's mom and dad are in Louisiana for a visit and are coming for Sunday dinner tonight. They are joining us at Walt Disney World this coming November so I'm sure that we'll be doing a bit of planning while they are here. I have almost all of dinner prepared already so I am able to get an update or two posted before they get here.

HO HO HO, to the party we go!

I found two pictures that I forgot to post in the last update. The 50th anniversary buses were so cute!

Once back at the resort, we rested for just a bit before starting to get ready for the Christmas party. A couple of years ago, I ordered Christmas Mickey shirts from Five Below. They were supposed to be the same color green but ended up being two different colors. I figured since we would only be wearing them just one day, I wouldn't spend more money on new shirts. Of course, every time I looked at them, I wished that I had.

I was done getting ready so I stepped outside to call Mama and see how she was and give her an update on what we were doing. She was "just rocking and watching a little television". We talked for a while and then John came out and said he was ready. He told Mama hey before I hung up.
As we were walking to the bus stop, I took a picture of the two rooms that would be Hunter and Tabitha's and Lacey and Jesse's. They were in a standard view room and it overlooked a parking lot. But there was some landscaping between their rooms and the parking lot so it wasn't that bad.

And then I took a selfie of John and I outside of our building. I'm looking at the time stamp on this picture and then on the first picture taken in the Magic Kingdom. There is a 37-minute time difference. So, the process of getting from the resort to getting our party bracelets and walking under the train station was pretty darn good.

By the time we made it to the Magic Kingdom, it was starting to get dark. Guests who were not attending the party were leaving the park and we went through the separate line where those who were attending received their special bracelets. As soon as we stepped inside the park, we felt the Christmas cheer! The decorations were gorgeous! Several characters were making an appearance at the railroad station.

We had dinner plans at one of our favorite restaurants before we got our Christmas party on.

Happy to see a new update! Anxious to hear about your Christmas party experience. I've been to a couple in the past so wondering how much it's changed. Never been to MNSSHP but would love to! I've heard the parade is worth the price of admission. I bet you're getting anxious for your family to arrive!
