Would you tip the guy installing your tires if they come to your house to install them? I bought through Tire Rack and they now have a service where they install at your home for $25/tire.

Might be of interest for anyone planning an upcoming wedding: I saw someone mention this on r/churning. They mentioned utilizing the Amex Plat/Shop Small/Resy credit card sign up. The OP mentioned her DJ, caterer and photographer were all on the Amex shop small list, so they were able to max out the $25,000 at 15x + the 125k SUB, so 500k MRs. So I added the Best Buy 10% off offer to my SW Chase card. It expired on 9/9, I went to BB and bought $350 of gift cards on 9/8. When I look at the offer now, it just shows expired, so I'm hoping I get that $35 back! I seem to recall this happening to someone else here and it did finally show up. That is the ONLY reason I bought gift cards there, if there's no other offer I always buy them from my grocery store for the perks, or Target for 5% off.

As long as it post by 9/9 you should get the $35. It takes 5-7 days for Chase offers to track.

I think I am being rejected for a Chase Sapphire Preferred. I do have a credit freeze and am used to applying, being asked to remove the freeze and then calling and getting whatever it is I am applying for.

This time they sent me an email saying that they need more time and will send me a letter which can take up to 30 days to receive.
I just got the Chase Boundless Bonvoy a few months ago. I have a total of 4 Chase cards which are all used regularly and paid off each month.

Anticipated a rejection letter, what should I do? Wait several months and try again? Call to negotiate? According to my other credit card, my FICO is 850. Not sure why I would be rejected other than maybe it's because I just opened the Bonvoy, or maybe because my overall credit limits are really high. I certainly don't need the limits I have on my other cards and can lower those if it will help.

Does anyone do P1 and P2 companion pass? Mine is going to expire at the end of this year and P2 will get one next year but with the lower requirements this year I could also get another year added on with a personal card/my support to player 2. Our little one will no longer be free next year but at the same time I don't foresee more than 3 RT flights 4 at most with both kids. I am trying to figure out if I should go for the multiple companion pass or just get another INK card. I am leaning towards the companion pass.

It could be the freeze. I would just call them to find out. They can move credit around from other cards if they need to when you speak with them. I usually just unfreeze for a day when I'm applying for new cards to try for instant approval.

Hi everyone, my brain is very scattered lately with wedding planning and I just need some guidance before I start to make moves here, I don't want to miss out on anything. I posted a few days back about having large wedding expenses at Disney and wanting to get the biggest bang for my buck. I applied for and was approved for CSP. I can easily hit the spending requirement but I want to make sure I am doing it wisely. My main focus is discounts or cash back on Disney gift cards or benefits from charges coding as "travel". My chase account says I have until 9/19/21 to earn my "$50 Annual Ultimate Rewards Hotel Credit", how do I do that? I do most effectively use Pay Yourself Back? Thanks in advance for any tips.

Many people don't know that if a concert releases better seats you can often upgrade for free. There used to be a number you called on TM. Well I saw that there were tickets for Jimmy Buffett 11 rows closer than what we had. So I went to find the number, it's gone. I tried the number I did find, it's not staffed. They say to "send an email". Which is annoying because the seats could be gone.....

Well I guess they REALLY updated the way you do this now. In the past you'd call, they'd swap your seats and make your old "etickets" void. Now you apparently buy the new seats and file to have the old ones refunded.....I'm over here hoping I did everything right as these tickets are $550 and while I love a good CC spend, I don't need $1100 in Buffett tickets, LOL.

Curious if anyone has been on lately, or is booked for a cruise soon? If you've been on one since cruising began again, I'd love to know your experience! We are booked for January, and I'm getting a little concerned about it now with everything going on.

The rate is unfortunately non-refundable, although it's my understanding that if you test positive you will get credit to use for another cruise. Also, I have a 10% Carnival offer on my CSP, so I was thinking to pay off the rest of the cruise a month early to get $50 back.

We went on the Carnival Mardi Gras on August 7th. They started the Masking indoors on that cruise but the testing before did not start until the week after. We were a little concerned with all the procedures but everything was great. We had to wear masks getting on and off the ship and indoors when going into dining or in elevators or around crowds. It was not bad at all. Then of course you had to follow the procedures of whatever ports you were at. We did mostly beach days so once we got where we were going - masks were off. I see they now have some Rapid In Home Testing you can do and it is like $70 for 2 tests. There are certain ones that you can use and are listed, but this makes it a lot easier.

Since we have been back (and spent some time in the casino) have been getting casino offers every day. Latest one yesterday is for cruises through end of December. Inside Cabins from $25 per person. Trying to see if I can get that to work out and hopefully booking another one. Any particular questions, let me know.

I don't tip when I go to the tire store, or Costco, most recently. In general I don't tip any kind of car service or repairs, with one exception and that's the AAA guy.

Installation complete with warranty and spin balance was 79.96, 4.00 disposal total and service pack g 11.96, whatever that is, were the charges in addition to the tires for my 4 tire Costco purchase and install on Aug 2. Bridgestone tires (for the Civic) were 547.96.

I don't think I'd add tip on this. If they want a tip for the installer, add it to the price to begin with.

Chase takes at least a week to show any signs of the money. Check your 'redeemed' column as mine showed there first, but it's definitely too early to expect it.

We're doing the Detroit show. It'll be the BF's first, my 16yo's 2nd and my 30-something, LOL. We were sad when there were no 2020 dates and planned on doing NC. Then well....Rona. When he started to move 2020 shows to 2021, I got sad we were gonna miss another year. And then some 2020 shows got moved to 2021 and now 2022 (NC is one). So I was getting SUPER sad we wouldn't see him. Once he started his 2021 tour he clearly missed it and added in Detroit

I won best tailgate a few years back......2019 was a very rainy weekday so it wasn't a normal tailgate for us....plus my normal crew was in Africa on a safari. For this one, most of my friends are sitting out as well. But I'm hoping we can still make it be a blast! I need to bring my Tiki Bar into class to fix it. The downpours in 2019 kinda wrecked my roof, LOL.

You can kinda see my tiki bar here. I have 3 shot boards I've made....The SurfShot (which has lyrics and all the tours we've done), the SharkShot (a personal fav) and then the smaller flip flop shot (made for 2). I've gotta decide how I'm going to tweak our outfits. I might add hoodies and put our shark fins on the back of that.

For my upcoming son's wedding, they will take cards but they are charging a fee on top to cover the credit card fees. At least for the caterer.

So as soon as the tire installation was done I received a text asking if I wanted to add a tip so I did. I guess it just charged my card on file.

All in all I would highly recommend using Tire Rack for installation. It was so easy. I've ordered from them at least three times but the last two times I had Midas install. Plus it's usually about 6% back on topcashback.
