I love credit cards so much! v6.0 - 2023 (see first page for add'l details)

Has anyone seen a deal on a new Sam's Club membership? I checked DOC but there's nothing. The only thing I can find is 10% off a "purchase" at Sam's on several chase cards but I'm not sure if that would apply to the membership fee or not.
RMN has 50% off new memberships
And Groupon is $20 for new memberships

Thanks! This gives me 5 extra days to hopefully get the extra credits.

Credits have been slow lately, so it may not credit by the time you need to cancel. But if the transaction date is before, it’s likely to still credit after you cancel. Some risk there though.

Dell can be tricky. You need something that ships fast. The transaction date will be when it ships.

My CSP/CSR fees have posted. I already have a CF and CFF. I don't have a CFU, but I have 2 CIUs. I want to keep the CSR, and cancel the CSP. Am I okay to cancel vs PC? There's nothing else to PC to as far as I need right now.

You might be able to find a 120k offer on the CIU in branch (possible end date 1/1). But in 2 player mode, 90k+40k support (taxable) might make more sense and is easier.

90k is historically high for public offers, so is 40k support. You can see patterns in a chart here.
so last week I used a support link for my ink-how long does it take for the 40k to show up?

I know there’s been a lot of talk about this lately, and I’m sorry to say I didn’t pay attention – I didn’t think it was going to be relevant to me.

I just had a friend ask about a first credit card for their 17-year-old daughter.

Is there a consensus on a best first card?

re: Costco $250 for $224.99. Just processed another order, so it's still active.
I did two orders of two a few days ago (total $1000) and just tried another order of 2 today. Pretty quickly cancelled. I used my same online account but different credit card. DH doesn't have an online Costco account but I may try that ... or just wait a few more days on my account.

Quick question on the CSR travel credit - can it be used to pay DVC dues? Trying to decide whether to go buy DGC's at OM/OD with my 10% offer and to place another Sam's order, or just use the travel credit for our remaining dues amount. I've been so busy with Christmas I've totally been slacking on getting discounted giftcards for dues. Thanks!

I’m pretty sure DVC dues don’t code as travel

Admittedly it has been quite some time (years) since I used the CSR for paying some of my dues to trigger the travel credit. It has in the past but would not know if it currently does.

Has anyone bought a washer recently? Our 12 year old front loader is done, it is a GE that did her job. The front loader has worked great for us, I know a lot of people don't like them but I have trained my family to leave the door open and we've never had issues. But I'm open to the idea of a top loader. Any recommendations?
Not recently, but I bought a speed queen about 4 years ago and I love it! It is a top loader with an agitator and I can pick the amount of water per load.

Not to hijack your thread, but we are in the market for a RV sized washer/dryer to put in a small house if anyone has any recommendations.

If anyone is going to the Taylor Swift concert in Indianapolis next November, the Hyatt Regency in downtown is bookable on points. It was 27K for two nights. Hopefully, the hotel is okay since that is the most reasonable place to stay downtown that I have found. The price per night is $1,100 right now.

DH has been hitting Casino Royale when we have been cruising RCCL. Thanks to his efforts we are headed to Italy for 7 night to the Greek Isles and Adriatic cruise in June in a balcony room for $863 for 3 of us. The cruise leaves out of Ravenna. Any pointers for Venice (where to stay or what to do), getting to Ravenna? We have stops in Montenegro, Zadar, Athens and Santorini. Any suggestions for excursions? So excited to be returning to Europe to celebrate DS’s graduation.
Italy trip report is in my signature. We really loved the Row Like a Venetian activity that was suggested here.

In Santorini, there's a red beach, white beach, black beach excursion that's fun. Spending time in Oia, going to the bookshop, just taking photos is a good way to spend the time you are there. Not familiar with visiting from a cruise ship, but from Oia there's a small marina area with restaurants at the bottom of hundreds of stairs. People also swim there. We took a taxi back up rather than climbing the stairs back up. Avoid the donkeys, if that's still a thing.

We haven't been able to get TS tickets. However, we stay a few times a year at that Hyatt Regency. It's in good shape and usually a decent value in points (for the concert it looks like it will be an exceptional value!) You will be able to walk to the stadium just fine. Enjoy!!

I have a pipe dream I’ll get offered last minute tickets for November 2nd as I had a Ticketmaster code but was unable to get tickets! So I booked a room just in case, thank you!

My kids started with the Discover student card. There are other "starter" cards, but I have no experience with them.

My Hilton credit posted. Now I'm going to have my mom do hers. But considering the timing, will it post for next quarter? Or this quarter?

Wait, I didn't even think of this.....What's something good to use my CSR credit on fast? My AF posted on 12/1. So I'm assuming I need to cancel by 12/31? I'm also assuming I want to do this in 2 different calls, right? Not one call to close the CSR and upgrade the CSP. Oh wait......I have my Ireland flights booked on my CSR currently. So if I cancel my CSR that cancelled the coverage, right? Maybe I just pay the AF and the CSP this year, have both and plan better next year. I think I have my cruise in Augutst on the CSR too. So I either pay the $95 on the CSP and do this next year.....or I cancel the CSP now.

My daughter got the discover. I had her use my link for $100 for signing up. She got $100, I got $100. It was win/win :) But she was 18 when she got it. And has been an AU on my cards so her credit score was like 820. Not sure if that helped her.
