If YOU won Cinderella castle sweepstakes??...

I think your missing the point of the Suite... Unless your going to donate a couple million to a charity (ala Tom Cruise) your never going to sleep in that room again. Getting rum should be your least concern. People make me laugh.

One in a life time experience > rum served in a pineapple.

just using the rum drink at the poly as an example..say for example that the MK closed at 7 or 8pm and there was EMH at Epcot til say 11 etc…and you got back to the CR and walked back to the MK at 11: 30 0r 12am ..what are they gonna say? "No you can't come in the MK gate and go sleep in your castle suite because the MK is closed?
I'm just saying I can't imagine on staying in the castle and being confined when you may be partying on property and looking forward to going to bed before the clock strikes twelve. can't imaging them saying …NO

When you meet up with the CM's showing you to your room and handling everything they would let you know when you'd need to be back at the castle. One family I saw a link on here that won had a cast member with them go on rides and tell them facts about the park and such. Then you're brought to your room and have some staff available if you should need anything.

But no, you're not going to another park and coming back hours after MK closes. No one would be at the gates to let you in. A group of cast members aren't just going to be catering to anything outside the castle walls. You'd be in the castle when park closes.

Yes, they would tell you 'no' - and then arrange for you to stay elsewhere.

For those who have stayed there. Can you see out any windows? Although most people feel it takes away the magic, I think it would be interesting to see how the CMs take care of MK after hours.

Second question, was it noisy during the night with power washers and stuff?

Are you trolling? You asked a question ("when you stay in the castle does that allow you to walk around the MK anytime? or are you 'confined to the castle after hours?"), have received legitimate answers (and FYI, every single response has been that you will, in fact, be confined to the castle after the park closes) but you still flat out refuse to accept it because it's not what you want to hear. Why even ask the question when you've already made up your mind about what Disney's policies actually are? :confused3

Furthermore, why would you want to spend your time "partying" into the wee hours when you have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to stay in the castle? I'm sure there are literally thousands of people who would have a deeper appreciation for the experience and not cause a fuss because they have a curfew.
So you have 79 posts and you are calling me a troll in effect.
Pa…lease.. I was asking people here how much flexibility one would have if they were fortunate enough to stay in the castle….and when one should book..May, til 1am MK….
I think the woman who posted she stayed there and her husband had to leave at 6am answered my question the best and the other one above who stated that they would let you in after you came back from Epcot after MK closed.
I see no reason to hold up in the castle at 8pm if you are visiting WDW and find yourself at Epcot having dinner at 9pm…thats the whole point of winning a WDW sweepstakes…yes the castle is great and yes Id wanna just stay there too…
I'm just asking. Inferring someone 'trolling' when in fact you've barely shown a presence here is pushing it…..my 'deeper' appreciation is that you are a jerk.

I think the OP is over thinking this and is really daydreaming!

I am sure if someone were to stay in the Castle Suite they would inform the butler of their schedule and needs. If the "need" was to go anywhere outside of the Castle Suite after hours, I am sure they would arrange transportation from the Castle Suite (not gate) to your destination or at least to your car. I do not see anyone walking from the gate to castle after hours because they are cutting grass, power washing sidewalks, etc. I would imagine they would transport the guest in a gator/golf cart or another vehicle using the most direct route while avoiding any inappropriate areas under maintenance. :moped:

Thanks that would be my guess too. VIP service because YOU ARE STAYING IN THE CASTLE!…Yes the park closes at 8pm but "yes sir mr so and so we will escort you to transportation to Victoria and Alberts for your 9pm dinner reservation…just give Alfred a call when you wish to be let back in for your nighty night and hot chocolate..not a problem sir"
Amazing how many here think you are going to be in some kind of lock down. Amazing.

I've seen a few pictures from inside the room looking out and you can see a little bit out the windows, but I don't think there's any great views to see most of the park.

I believe the views are a little bit to the lower left of the castle, mainly walkway area, and of the carousel behind the castle

I would like to stay a night of MNSSHP. I think that would be cool.
Me too!
I also think the 24 hour day might be cool too….spend time on rides, head to the castle, shower, go out to dinner at BOG! with beer/wine, back for a little nap, back out again….then you wouldn't need to bother Alfred to escort you to and from the gate after hours! Ha!

You are in a "lock down" though. Once the park closes to day guests, it closes for those fortunate enough to stay in the suite too. If you're out past closing I'm sure arrangements will be made to escort you to the suite upon your return, but it's not an all-night open door policy.

Yes coming and going at your whim after hours would be not be allowed would be my guess…but exiting after MK hours and returning back to your suite after say a $400 dinner at V&A is not a problem..and that there does not constitute being 'confined' to the castle after MK closes.

Being in 'lockdown' as some are calling it would not be a problem with me!. Who wants to leave when it's something we all dream about experiencing? I would want to stay awake all night just 'absorbing' the once in a lifetime experience - I can go 'eat out' any ole time, LOL!!

If I won, I would certainly enjoy being in the castle…but not the whole 24 hours, I would enjoy WDW to the max, mostly MK time, while MK was open Id love the magic of returning to my 'room'..BUT I would also enjoy my vacation to the max and that would mean a party for me and my guests (adults)….Poly for drinks which I happen to love, a great dinner say at CG or VA…and then a return to my dream digs…..the whole experience of WDW with icing on the castle….
I don't/wouldnt feel the need to stay in the suite the whole time.
Its all dreaming but Id still like to know what time of year and which evening one would pick to stay if you won! And why?

Yes, they would tell you 'no' - and then arrange for you to stay elsewhere.

winners were confined to the apartment after park closing

after the park closes, the guests are confined to the suite.

and that when the park closes you're essentially confined to the suite.

Sorry no. You can't leave the suite

At closing you will be confined to the Suite.

If the park closes, and you aren't inside the gates, you aren't getting back in.

You are confined to the suite once MK closes

in fact, be confined to the castle after the park closes)

With all due respect these responses are non sense. You are a VIP guest of WDW. You are one of the very few who will ever stay in the castle.
There is no way you are locked into the MK if it closes at 8pm. That is nonsense. You will be given star treatment and you can go and eat dinner anywhere on property or enjoy all that WDW has open on property for your enjoyment (the very essence of the vacation kingdom of the world) … and then RETURN to your VIP suite..with absolutely no problem at all. Escorted by the CM assigned to you and your castle quests on call 24 hours.
And just because you don't feel the need to stay in the castle the entire time doesn't make one out to be silly or foolish either. Boggles the mind how fearful people are about their perceived definition of rules.

If you already " know", why ask?

If you already " know", why ask?

I assumed thats all. And judging by the hostility and reaction here and what I perceive as wrong information I am posting on a DISCUSSION forum for those interested and very surprised by peoples attitude. My atttude is this:

"Good afternoon Alfred, My three friends and I have a 9pm reservation for Victoria and Alberts this evening to celebrate this once in a lifetime dream we won in the Cinderella Castle Sweepstakes (a three hour affair and with wine a $2,000 tab.)
We see that the MK closes at 7pm tonight. Should we cancel the reservation and loose our prepaid deposit?"

"Absolutely not Mr. Jones. We will meet you at 8:30 and private car you and your party to the GF. Just ring this number when you are ready to be picked up. Hope you have a wonderful magical memorable once in a life time meal Mr. Jones"

"Thank you Alfred I was worried because I read on internet forums that there was no way we could leave the castle after the MK closed and be allowed back in"

"Oh thats silly Mr. Jones you are a VIP guest, have a wonderful evening"

"Thank you Alfred"

"You are welcome Mr. Jones, see you later tonight"

Now I'm curious, did they escort him by a car from the castle, or thru a back stage area, or was he escorted out the front gate towards the buses where he was driven over to the GF?

They walked him out the front of the castle down a very dark Main Street and to a waiting car behind the candy shop then drove him over to the GF. The rest of us were escorted out if the suite at 8am for photos in front of the castle before the park opened, then taken to Crystal Palace for breakfast.

Not noisy at all...and very hard to see out the windows. The only windows you could see a little bit out of are in the parlor room above the couch...they are stained glass and overlook the carousel.

O.K., so "IF" I were to win this opportunity... You'd bet your sweet paa-toot that I would be happily locked-down in the SUITE!pixiedust:

I don't know about you but I've seen the pictures, it's not like I'm in a cardboard box on the side of the road for crying out loud! You wanna swim, FILL THE BATH, it's plenty big enough! You want a drink, I'm sure you could ask your on call BUTLER to provide one or two for you...

BUT SERIOUSLY! A drink or two from the Poly...I mean I thought I had the mentality of first world problems !!!

You WON a stay in the Cinderella suite...and your biggest problem is wanting to leave? To get a drink? Or hang out in the park longer? YOU ARE KIDDING ME!!!:thumbsup2

It's reasons like this that I'm glad this suite is reserved and not a bookable category!:thumbsup2

I have no words for this... :faint:
