I'm sorry I made the Podcast Crew shudder

I finally caught up with the podcasts over the weekend, so I heard my voicemail and the responses to it.

Pete, I'm glad you liked my question about the Muppets. I really enjoyed hearing all your responses. Thanks for playing it.

I didn't think hiking from the Marriott World Orlando to the highway would be a good idea. I don't remember that they had any sidewalks, and I do remember that they had alligators. Not a good combination.

I can't imagine trying to cross *any* of the major roads near Disney as a pedestrian. I don't want to become human roadkill. I promise I won't take any highway hikes (and definitely no hitchhiking.)

I'll let you all know how the shuttle turns out, in case any other Dissers get stuck at the Marriott in the future.

I agree with Kevin and John that the entire podcast crew should see Avenue Q. It is hysterically funny. Having said that, it is definitely adult entertainment, and some Dissers would most probably not be comfortable seeing it. I still get a jolt at one line, "grab your **** and double-click". If you search the internet, you can find a list of the songs, which would give you an idea of what to expect.

Sounds fun - AND it's coming to my town soon!!! Now I'll have to find something DIS Unplugged to wear...just in case. ;)

We saw it in Las Vegas and it is hilarious. :thumbsup2

It's a very adult take off on Sesame Street.

It's clever and witty and the songs are memorable.

I saw Avenue Q in NYC two weeks ago. It is most certainly not for children. It may not be suitable for some adults. We had a couple sitting behind us walk out at intermission. They had no idea what the show was about when they bought the tickets. We absolutely loved it and were rolling in the aisle with the songs.

:rotfl2: I couldn't agree more about Avenue Q! It came through Kansas City back in November and DH and I LOVED it! I usually can't get DH into musicals but he says he can get behind an off color musical that claims "Everyone's a little bit rascist" and has an entire song about porn and celebrates the joy of schadenfreude (sp?)!

BTW, the lady behind us was probably 70 if she was a day and she laughed louder than anyone in that audience! It was hilarious!

"I wish I could go back to college....life was so simple back then...."

BTW, did y'all know that the main guy on the CD, John Tartaglia, is Johnny from Johnny and the Sprites on P'house Disney? He'd been with Sesame Street for years and got his development deal with Disney after scoring his nomination for Avenue Q.

AND that the guys who wrote Avenue Q contributed to the Scrubs musical episode on NBC AND the Finding Nemo show at AK AND Wonderpets on Nick, Jr?

I'm a fount of knowledge, aren't I????
