There should not be any delay getting to Airside 2, which Southwest uses for all its flights -- at least not due to to the shuttle replacement project.Just curious as to what we'll encounter in 2 weeks via SW, any recent experiences?
Just got back on Monday. No impact for SW flights. As mentioned, the SW gate area is not part of the current monorail (re)construction effort.
Security is still the same horrendously chaotic mess, but that's another matter...

The only thing you will encounter with SW and MCO is the entire ticket area is under construction. If you check bags at Disney and arrive VIA ME then it won't likely impact you at all.
If you arrive via another method or need to check bags at MCO then it may. We used curbside (coming from Universal) and it was fine. Hard to get to the curb but our driver managed.
MCO is the sole reason we got PreCheck a couple years ago. With it, we've never had any issues at MCO. It's a huge asset there.
That's because it's not under construction. The airside set of gates used by Jet Blue is the section under construction.Checked our bags at the SW counter at MCO today and did not even notice it was under construction! It was a bit of a long walk down there from the rental return area. We just walked to a kiosk, printed our tags, and handed off the bags.
The Southwest ticket counter as you come in from the curb area most certainly is under construction. We just left from there. That's because it's not under construction. The airside set of gates used by Jet Blue is the section under construction.
You'd probably only notice if you came in from outside, not from the rental returnChecked our bags at the SW counter at MCO today and did not even notice it was under construction!
