Iphone / Internet question

I've noticed for a while that ads on my ihpone apps such as facebook and weather will often reflect internet searches that I perform on my laptop. It's weird and I did some googling and from what I can gather it is somehow getting the information from our internet connection. Does this mean that my family is seeing these ads too? Is there any way to turn it off when I am browsing the internet? I tried going incognito on google chrome and that did not work. And no, I'm not searching porn sites or anything like that but I will be starting my Christmas shopping soon as well as possibly surprising my DD with a cruise so I do not want the related ads popping up on their apps.

I'm not sure, but could you try clearing your browser history?

I'm no expert on this, but I thought it was more tied to your google account. Are you signed into google when you perform these searches? logging out before you google may help. But this might be moot as I don't think your family would be seeing the same thing unless they are also logged into your ID on facebook etc...

Last year when I started browsing for gifts I used the "private" option on my Safari browser so nobody would see or get hints at what I searched. I think that worked...

I am using Google Chrome but I am not logged on to my google account. I'll try using safari, thanks!

When I had my old iPhone 5 I used goggle browser it worked fine but
Started to get tons of pop ups

But I got my new iphone6 plus
Back about 4 months ago and I now use dolphin browser it works great lot faster and no pop ups at all maybe try
And down load that and see how it runs for you

ios9 has ad blocker option now. should update and u should be fine.
