My DW & I are planning a short trip in September (after a cruise) and, since we're DVC members, we were thinking of getting APs. It seems like the Dining Plan is only for those with MYW tickets... Is it allowed to buy MYW tickets (with the Dining Plan) and then upgrade to the AP (with the DVC discount)?

I know you guys will have the answer.

If you are staying in a DVC resort on points (your own or rented) you are able to add the dining plan w/o park tickets. Disney knows that many DVC'ers have AP's and want to still have dining plan available.
