Kite show 🙃

Has anyone tried watching from the outdoor dining behind Flametree? Or would that be too far away to see anything? Just wondering if the show is better with food

Actually we thought maybe with some alcohol it would be better.

Yep we just happened to have good timing, and we were eating lunch behind Flametree when the kite show started. It was actually a really great place to watch!!!

Here was our view!


It was sooooo windy though and every single kite crashed and burned lol. There were some people watching next to us and they were cracking up every time one of the kites nosedived. It was actually pretty funny. You can see poor Zazu in my picture above totally bit the dust. They actually announced that the show was canceled due to the wind not long after this was taken. Whoops.

I just saw the 5pm kite show. I went with very low expectations and it was actually good! Short , but good!

As good or better than those of us cooking in the open stands. And you have food, we don't.

yeah, those stands were hot!!! you can tell it was designed for a nightime show.
