Linking tickets to magic band

Kind of a stupid question, but here goes I bought five 8 day water park fun and more tickets from undercover tourist back in February. I linked them to everyone's magic bands......this doesn't mean I have activated them right?? Our trip is not until August. I had a mini heart attack for a minute. They get activated at the gate?

Also I just noticed on the undercover tourist website they now have regular, value, and peak day tickets. This was not on the website a few months ago when I bought my 8 day tickets. It won't matter what day I go on right? These tickets are only for people going on 1 day trips?

I'm scared and confused now. Help. I emailed the website and no one will answer me.

1. Actually, you connected them to everyone's MDE account.
Nothing is linked to a MagicBand.
MagicBands are just a link to the tickets and information in your MDE account.
2. Right
3. Correct.
4. Right.
5. They are for people only going into a park on one day.

Are you saying that I need to go pick up the actual tickets with my print-out? I can't just go directly to the gates to enter the theme parks everyday with my magic band?

No.
MagicBands are a LINK TO the TICKETS and information in your MDE account.

Just to keep things as clear as possible-
Tickets are NEVER on anybody's MagicBand.

There is no reservation info, or ticket info, or credit card info,
or FP+ info "put onto" a MagicBand.

A MagicBand just contains (and weakly "transmits") a unique serial number that is used to access the information that is stored in your MyDisneyExperience computer file.

So, even if you were to lose a MagicBand, the info stays locked in your file.
Disney can just set up a new band (different serial number)
to access the info in your MDE file.

The MagicBand works like the combination to a locked safe, or a key to a locked door.
The MB, itself, is not the file of info or the container of the info.

The MB just unlocks the file of info, allowing it to be accessed from your MDE account when needed.

Weird, because this is what the website says about magic bands..

You can use your MagicBand or card to:
  • Unlock the door of yourDisney Resort hotel room.
  • Enter theme and water parks (with valid admission).
  • Check in atFastPass+entrances.
  • ConnectDisney PhotoPassimages to your account.
  • Charge food and merchandise purchases to your Disney Resort hotel room (only available during your hotel stay).

I think everyone is saying the same thing - just a little unclear. Everything (your room, FP, tix) is linked to your MDE account. The magic band simply reads whatever is linked to your MDE account. Does that make sense? Nothing is linked to the magic band - the magic band is just a tool to read what is on your MDE account.

Not weird at all.

1. Your Door lock info is stored in your MDE account.
2. Your theme park and water park ticket info is stored in your MDE account.
3. Your FastPass+ info is stored in your MDE account.
4. Your Disney PhotoPass images are stored in your MDE account.
5. Your credit card charging info is stored in your MDE account.

Your MagicBand can unlock that info in your MDE account when you touch it to the Mickey Head scanners.
The MagicBand is a KEY to your MDE account info.
