Well after months of planning, we are finally almost to our wedding. We leave one week from tomorrow, and we couldnt be more excited. We are staying at the GF for the first several nights, and then moving over to a 1 BR at BWV for a few nights also. Doing MVMCP our first night as sort of our "last date" before the wedding chaos ensues. Being a dude, I had no idea what kind of planning went into a wedding. My fiance has worked incredibly hard, and all I want at this point is for everything to go off without a hitch. I'm sure there will be issues, but overall I just want it to be the day she has always dreamed of. Truth be told, I think both of us are just ready for the honeymoon portion of the trip:lmao:

Some great ADRs planned as well. We have never dined at V&A, so the night after our wedding seemed appropriate for that. Then we're doing CRT, LTT, Jiko, Yachtsman, and Chef Mickey's for Christmas Eve breakfast. She's got a massage planned, me a round of golf. And of course no trip would be complete without a trip to Beaches and Cream followed by Jellyrolls:)

While we are fortunate to visit WDW about once a month, I'm confident this trip is going to be the best one ever. Certainly the most memorable:thumbsup2

I plan on posting live reports to this thread during our trip, so stay tuned...

Well its here! We leave tomorrow first thing. The sad thing is that I have yet to begin packing, and I have to work till 8pm tonight. I'm not worried about it though, because I'm sure I'll be like the guy in the WDW commercial who is too excited to sleep. I have a feeling that both of our cars are going to be chocked full of stuff, and yet only 2 bags will be luggage, the rest will all be wedding stuff. Who knew planning a wedding would be so stressful:rotfl:

We added a couples massage at GF to help us unwind the day after the big event. I figure that will be a good day, a couples massage followed by Victoria and Alberts:thumbsup2

Well we are finally here! What a great first day we had. We were pleasantly suprised to be greeted by the concierge at the front desk and escorted to our room by her and checked in there. We arent staying on concierge, nor were we upgraded, I guess since we are having our wedding here in a day or two they did some sort of special check in for us. We got gold room keys which was a first for us too. Nice room in Pine Key with a decent view with the exception of the big pine tree in the way:lmao:

We went to MVMCP tonight and had a great time. I was a little worried cause I had heard horror stories about the crowds at recent parties, and I knew this one was sold out, but personally I didnt think it was that bad. We walked right on Splash Mountain, and only waited a few minutes for Space. The fireworks were amazing as usual, they had a panaorama type ending which was awesome.

One thing I noticed was that the castle was not lit all the way around it, basically just the front and sides, with very little on the back. Now I could be wrong but I seemed to remember that it wasnt like that last year, and thought perhaps this was some sort of cost saving move.

I'll try to post some pictures tomorrow. The "main event" starts for us tomorrow, so it should be exciting:thumbsup2

Yay Dj!!! How fun.. a live report. Hopefully I'll see you guys Thursday night. I'm trying my darndest to be there and give you both big hugs!

And finally, a sideways view from our room. I'm obsessed with the monorail, so this is good for me:thumbsup2

Dj You are are doing a great job! It sounds like you and Meg are having a fantastic time! The big day is tomorrow! Enjoy every moment of it, it goes by so fast....well at least that is what they tell me, I have a year to find out! :lmao:

Alright Deej:thumbsup2 We are going to love this!!!

I am so happy we get to read things as they happen.
Remember we want play by play :rotfl:

Keep us posted:woohoo:

Hi, Deej!! Please give Meg a huge hug from me when you read this. It will be a hug from a Disney bride friend to her newly-married friend, Meg.

Thank you for doing the updates and taking us along on your journey. Everything sounds great for the days leading up to today. So cool that you can see the monorail -- I am a monorail nut, so I'd be so happy!

Have a wonderful, perfect day today!

Well the big day has come and gone, and it could not have been more perfect. I started the day watching the sunrise from the deck outside Narcoossee's. I found this spot yesterday and figured out its the only place on property without another soul, so it was perfect for some morning meditation before the big show:thumbsup2

We got back a little while ago and are now about to head out to Jellyrolls to celebrate. I had a couple suprises for Meg that she didnt know about. The first was that I asked Art the greeter at the Beach Club if he would mind coming to the door of Ariels to greet us and our guests. Meg absolutely loves Art, and she cried when she saw him. It took several phone calls to the right people, but it worked out and it was awesome. We also had originally set up a towncar to take us back to GF, but natrually I called and upgraded that to a limo, so she was suprised yet again. Just a couple touches that made the day all that more magical.

So as you can imagine its been a really long day, so thats all I'm gonna post for now, but stay tuned. Tomorrow we have some massages planned as well as dinner at Victoria and Alberts. For this foodie its gonna be a dream:thumbsup2

Ooh V&A is amazing! I cannot wait to hear the report.
Tel Meg we say hi!

So we are hanging out in the room for a few minutes before dinner, so I thought I would give a few more details from our last couple days...

We had an Illuminations dessert party on Wednesday for our wedding guests in the lower UK section of WS. Everyone was blown away by the show, even myself. It was the holiday edition, which meant there was an extra part at the end that normally isnt in the show. The fireworks were absolutely awesome, and everyone was blown away at the event. Two downsides: a) the wind was blowing straight in our direction, so not only did the smoke head our way, but we were rained with ashes as well. I actually picked up a 6 inch piece of something and took it as a souvenier:lmao: It was ok though because the show was so great, that none of our guests really cared about the ash thing. Downside b) I didnt take a single picture, although tons were taken by the family so I'm sure I'll get to post some at some point.

I'll let my wife give the indepth wedding details for you DISbrides later on, but I will say it was amazing. Mickey and Minnie were a huge hit with our family, as we kept it a secret.

Jellyrolls was a blast last night. About 20 members of our family showed up and we had great seats down front. After hearing it was our wedding day Michael picked on us in the first set, and told everyone in the house that if they had a request it had to come through me first, and if I approved it I could bring it on stage. My legs are sore from having to hop on stage so many times:rotfl: Then during the next set, Scotty also picked on us and made us get on stage to do the "B" song where you stand up and sit down everytime a word starts with "B." This was a great end to an awesome day, and our family had a blast. I was concerned it would be a late night and people wouldnt have a good time, but even the old folks got into it:thumbsup2

So whats a newlywed couple supposed to do on the day after their wedding? Well ride water sprites of course!:lmao:

After our water sprite adventure, we had a couples massage at the spa which was in a word...phenomenal. We then decided to ride the monorail to the other two resorts and check out their Christmas decorations, which was a little disappointing as there wasnt a whole lot to speak of. I did get to ride the monorail in my reserved seat however, as shown below...

A couple things on the monorail. First, a lady referred to it as the "skytrain" today. My eyes began to roll so far into the back of my head that I thought I had seen the end, and that I was only going to get to enjoy married life for one day. Luckly, I pulled through. Second, I've noticed several times in the last couple days that one of the monorails is honking its horn as it passes another on the track. Not sure if this is something new they are doing, or if its just one driver being funny, but I think its dumb. They do it at Disneyland, and I didnt like it there, and I certainly dont like it here. My hope is that its just one rogue driver as opposed to someone in Anaheim thinking this was a good idea to send East. Ok rant over:lmao:

So thats it for now. Off to V&A;)

DJ and Meg I am so happy for you both and so glad everything went perfectly for your wedding! Go DJ for surprising Meg! How sweet you are! I can't wait to hear all about the details of the wedding! Get going Meg! :lmao: Jk, enjoy your honeymoon first!

Have a great time at V&A's! Can't wait for the food pics....don't forget to take food pics for us so we can salivate over them and wish we were there too! :rotfl2:
