I've just seen on Twitter that DLP are offering a new package. For €65 you get to view Dreams! from a special area in front of the castle, and get provided with a pair of Glow With the Show ears.

Personally, I think that's a very high price and will just mean that the view is more restricted for non-paying Dreams viewers!
What do you think?

I agree. I'm not happy with this kind of development.

When I talk tot people about DLRP, may people think/say it's so expensive. I Always try to explain that it's not so bad, because with your ticket, you can walk around freely and experience it all (Oh, OK, no shooting gallery and Auberge meetings, but still).

If DLRP tends towards a business model that's more about "paying for extras and customising your visit", that principle goes away. I would find that a shame. Not only because of the extra costs, but it would also take the free feeling away of walking around, looking aroung and trying things out. I don't want to be thinking "is it worth it" with everything I do.

So hopefully, this is and will remain an exception. And I also think 65 euros is a ridiculous amount of money.

I think that's a crazy amount of money too. The GWTS hats are around 20 euros I think so you're paying a further 45 euros just for a good view. Per person! I've seen Dreams from a number of different spots and have enjoyed it everytime. There's no way I'd pay that for a slightly better view. I've never quite got the GWTS hats either - why would I want pay for something I can't see myself!

That does seem very expensive just for a good view and some light ears. There are plenty of places you can get a good view of Dreams from without having to be right at the front or having to get there really early. Plus, what if you already own a pair of light ears?

So it's 65euros plus the cost of the light ears? So a family of 4 would have to spend 350euros to watch a 15 min show from a privileged spot... Can't see that appealing to many!

It's ridiculous! I'd expect a lot more for my money!

Maybe it's a test to see what people are willing to pay. Hopefully there isn't really a demand for this service. (I sure don't demand it!) But if people are really willing to purchase this package, then Disney will be offering more VIP experiences like it!

If you think how often castle club is sold out, there is definately a market for this lol. When we go to annaheim I am already planning on booking the dessert package for Fantasmic which i guess is about the same thing. So whilst there is no way I would pay for this at DLP - especially considering how often we go, I can see that if you were on a special trip, hardly ever went or just plain rich:rotfl: you would go for this

A family paid for this Monday, there were about 10 of them! They were behind the disabled bay and the man was going mad at the cm after saying he was told no more than 40 people would be there and he couldn't see anything as there were so many people Infront of him. The next night the bays right Infront of the castle entrance .

We've had a bad experience with this a few visits ago.
Mainly to do with when the VIP bay is set up.

We regularly have either myself or my wife waiting at least an hour before Dreams starts to try and get a "front and centre" spot for our girls (11,7 & 2) to have a great view.

During a visit in 2013, despite being there for at least an hour before show time - behind the white rope already set up - a CM came along to create a bay in the front and centre spot. This moved us back several feet behind whoever was in the VIP bay and meant our girls couldn't really see anything.

This was approx 30 minutes before the shows start time and of course, all other spots along the front were taken up.

It took 10 minutes of talking and mediating between the CM and my very angry wife to resolve the situation.
One lovely CM who had been kidding around with kids sat waiting for the show to start confirmed how long we'd been waiting in that spot and we got to remain at the front.

On subsequent visits, I always make sure a CM confirms that we won't have to move once we've "claimed" a viewing spot :)

I hope demand for this isn't great - it seems very over the top.
From the price, I would have thought that the only people who'd pay for it either have enough money not to care or they've mis-understood what you get for the money.
As others have said, you can get a perfect view quite easily without paying extra...

You get a dessert "sample platter" (enough sweets for me for three days), unlimited drinks (soft drinks, coffee, hot chocolate etc.) and most important a chair under your butt at the Fantsmic special seating in DLR.

In WDW you get a meal at a restaurant plus a ticket to a reserved seating area.

Neither package is close to 65 Euro. DLR is 59 dollars (at least it was last time I booke) and when we booked the Star Wars character meal package in WDW in May it was around the same price per person.
