Making a Christmas CD/Playlist- What's your favorite song and version?

Another favorite of mine is An Angel Gets its Wings by Vince Gill and Trisha Yearwood. Also this is not a necessarily a Christmas song, but I LOVE Justin Timberlake's version of "Hallelujah", it gives me chills everytime I hear it!

Oh, man - I LOVE Christmas music! It's so hard for me to choose a favorite song, so here are a few of my favorite albums:

Carpenter's Christmas Portrait album
Time-Life Music: Treasury of Christmas - Holiday Memories
*Michael W. Smith - Christmas, Christmastime & It's a Wonderful Christmas (I have all three albums, and there's only one song I don't like.)
*Steven Curtis Chapman - The Music of Christmas & All I Really Want for Christmas
Manheim Steamroller - Christmas Celebration

* These are Christian singers, and the majority of the songs they sing are original, and not secular.

Twelve Days of Christmas - Straight No Chaser
God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen - Barenaked Ladies and Sarah McLachlan

Last Christmas by Wham or George Michael- probably my fave love this song!!!
Rocking around the Christmas tree-brenda Lee???

Another vote for O Holy Night- Josh Grobin:goodvibes

I posted the lyrics to this song back on 12/23/2001. I found it in a search.

This is a favorite song of my family that we play on our station every year. The music is secondary to the incredible message...

THE LEAST OF THESE

In the fading light of a Christmas night
A storefront sings Noel
Snow falls on the corner light
As Santa rings his bell.

From the shelter of a boarded door
A boy comes cross the street
Hey Santa, seeing how it's Christmas Eve
Can you spare a bite to eat?

The cold wind sweeps his bright red suit
Shoppers stop to give
Checks his watch it's quitting time
Hey, son, where do you live?

We're hold up near the mission bridge
Church Street not too far
Me and Mom and baby sister Hope
We got the back of a burned out car...

Lord Jesus was a homeless boy
Born to make us free
And he said as you've done to the LEAST OF THESE
You have done to me.

With child in hand he calls his wife
From the pay phone at the store
She pulls the dishes from the shelf
Makes places for three more.

Later on, the carols song
Mom and the kids well fed
Her babies hug new teddy bears
And dream in borrowed beds.

Lord Jesus was a homeless boy
Born to make us free
And he said as you've done to the LEAST OF THESE
You have done to me.

As a part time Santa kneels to pray
A star shines bright above
And a voice as soft as the falling snow
Says "thank you for your love!

Because you took me in and you gave me food
As you did for just these three
And as you've done for the LEAST OF THESE
YOu have done for me, oh, you have done for me."

Lord Jesus was a homeless boy
Born to make us free
And he said as you've done to the LEAST OF THESE
You have done to me.
