Marathon Weekend 2024

This has been the case for as long as I've been hanging around here. I'm assuming is has to do with the roads needing to be closed for the half/full courses as they do NOT offer busses on those days afaik.
It's the same for other weekends as well...monorail only runs for the longer races, not the 5k/10k races. There are busses instead.

How odd! A few days ago it had the half but no exhibitors.

I was trying to decide if i put this in MW thread or Running thread. Since i think it will impact MW i am going to put it here.

The knee has not been good. I went for a run yesterday and felt a pop in the back of my knee. No swelling or bruising but can't really walk. I could not sleep last night every move woke me up. I was planning on going to the Ortho after MW in Jan, but i now have an appointment for today. Not at my preferred location but still with Emory. I figure get the initial check out and then switch to the brookhaven location.

The fate of my marathon weekend lies in the hands of the dr today.

And i am going to pile on. My mom is in ICU. She has been there since Sunday.

I hope you get some good news at the Dr today. Sending good thoughts to your mom. That's a lot to have on your plate right now.
