I've never heard of these. Back in my day it was Risk, Clue, Monopoly, etc. Though we did play a game called Masterpiece, that might be like your Modern Art game. Nevertheless, sure, if we can find time.
Great! I selected these because they're easy to learn, and except for Lluna Lena, don't take a lot of time to play. If no one has time, that's OK. I have no idea how busy the cruise will be.
Carcassonne is a short strategy game - you draw tiles and fit them together according to what they look like to build a map. As you place the tiles, you put knights, robbers, and farmers on the map to get a score.
Modern Art is a little bit like Masterpiece. It's a bidding game. You try to buy low and sell high at auctions, then predict (or manipulate the market) to determine who will be the most valuable artists at the end of the year.
Lluna Lena is a new one for me, it's a light, cooperative role-playing game where all but one person plays hikers who have been lost in the woods. The other person plays a pack of werewolves who try to turn the hikers into more werewolves before they can rescue their friends and escape the woods.
The other game I'd forgotten is Jungle Fever - you flip over cards, and if they match, you have to be the first to grab a wooden rod. Certain other cards change the rules or direction of play.
If adrianhon brings Catan, that's a classic, award-winning resource game - you gather resources, trade them with other players, and build towns, roads, and armies.
Watch out though Jeff, engineers are easily hooked on games like Catan and Carcassone
