MAYbe we should go back to Disney World! A May 2012 PTR
Wow, can you believe anyone would have to utter those words? As if there should ever be any question! But first, let me explain...
Our family has been to Disney World nine times in the past eleven years. During 2009-2010, we made four trips from May, 2009-May, 2010. Could you ever believe that after that trip, my family told me they wanted a break! I couldnt! How could they betray me like that?
However, being the considerate person that I am, I decided to let them have their break. We skipped Disney last year. Instead we took trips to the mountains and the beach. But, as all good mothers know, after letting my family have some time away, they began to make comments about missing that and this from Disney World. Im no fool---I immediately began playing into this, by setting up conversations about Disney (Remember when ). Then finally, one day, the magic words were uttered .
MAYBE WE SHOULD GO BACK TO DISNEY WORLD!
Well, as you can guess, thats all the encouragement I needed!
So here we are, with our tenth family trip planned for this May 27-June 2. Here is a picture of our family during our last trip, May 2010.
And, a more recent picture, taken this past Christmas.
For my new readers, and old friends, let me share some introductions of my family.
Im Michelle-the vacation planning extraordinaire of this family. I am a middle school math teacher and Jr. High cheerleading coach. In addition to my daytime jobs, I am a wife to Kevin, and a mother to Elizabeth, Rachel, and Reid. I am married to my college sweetheart, Kevin. Weve been married for almost 22 years. He works as a Human Resources Manager, but loves working on and restoring old cars. He is the kindest person I know, and Im not really sure how I got someone so good, but I sure am thankful everyday for such a good husband!
We have three beautiful children: Elizabeth, Rachel, and Reid.
Our oldest daughter, Elizabeth, is 18, and will be graduating from high school the week before we head to Disney World. She is headed to the University of Alabama for college in the fall (about 2 ½ hours from our home).
Our youngest daughter, Rachel, is 15 now, but will be 16 by the time we are back at Disney World. I think out of all three kids, Rachel is the most excited about heading back to Disney!
Our youngest, Reid, is 9---a typical boy! He never has a still moment! But he loves to go to Disney. He even volunteered to give me the $120 he has saved to pay toward our trip! Bless his heart!
The last member of our family is Millie, our 11-year-old pug. However, she will not be making the trip, as her favorite activities are eating and sleeping, and not necessarily in that order. She will stay with her doggy cousin at my sisters house!
