Another first…….We got a room upgrade!!!

We booked a preferred room at All Star Music. And we got upgraded to the family suite!


Our room was in the Calypso section




It was really nice to have the extra space, little kitchen, and 2 bathrooms!!

After checking into our room and getting settled, we took the bus to Disney Springs. Did a little shopping, and went to our favorite places there!!

While at Disney Springs, we also got a glimpse of a rocket launch! That was pretty neat!

So we spent the rest of our day shopping and checking out the new areas of Disney Springs. Before we left, we wanted to eat at Rainforest Café (no reservations), but of course they were packed, so at the last minute I called the Disney dining line, and told the CM that we really wanted to find somewhere to eat, and it was already about 8pm. To my surprise, she said they had an open reservation…………if I could make it in 30 minutes!!!

We signed up to take the excursion "SeaVenture". we arrived at our scheduled time, and they have a little class before you get started. I was really nervous about this, as I'm pretty much claustrophobic, but DD wanted to do it, so I thought I'd try something new.

As you step down the ladder, they place this scuba head piece on your shoulders, it's really heavy until you get into the water.

It was really neat! But I was nervous the whole time, LOL. You can't really see where you're walking, because you can't look down. If you tilt your head, the water will rush into your tank! They described it, as like holding a cup upside down, under the water. Where the air will stay in the cup, if you don't move it!

The grounds are gorgeous!!! Reminds me very much of Mexico. How lovely you get to keep the snorkel gear.

It was so beautiful! Like being on a little secluded island!!

They have a bird aviary. As you're winding down the lazy river, you can stop off and feed the birds.

We took a taxi back to our resort, took showers, rested, then headed to Disney Springs, but we didn't stay too long, because our next day, is Magic Kingdom Day!!

I'm glad I tried it for the experience, something different. The helmet was kinda scary and claustrophobic. Just thinking if you make the wrong move, you could fill it up with water!! But they did show you hand signals for if you're in distress!

It was a little bit chilly, but we went at the perfect time because it was practically empty the whole day!! These pictures are pretty much what the entire park looked like, the entire time! Everything was walk on, and my favorite was the family raft!

A long time Dis-er friend was also in Disney while we were, so we planned to meet up. We've been friends for several years. She lives in MN. She's been here to visit a few times, and we've met up at Disney some.

We hung out, rode the family raft, hung out in the lazy river, and chatted for a long time. We had lunch before she had to leave.

We left Blizzard Beach and went back to the resort to rest and get ready to go to Disney Springs, and to meet back up with my friend and her hubby for dinner!

We arrived at T-Rex, and we got a really nice seating location. This was our first time there.

So we said our good-byes and then me & my daughter walked around and shopped a little bit before heading back to the resort.

Our plane wasn't leaving until late that day, so we slept in, packed up, and walked around the resort some, and had lunch there.

SeaVenture was really neat! This was our first time at BB so I'm not sure if the raft was newer.
