Hello....can anyone take the monorail from Downtown Disney to the Disneyland park entrance? I am assuming that is where it goes. Also, what large scale hotels are right there next to Downtown Disney??

Thanks!:goodvibes

The Monorail goes from near the Disneyland Hotel, at the west end of Downtown Disney to Tomorrowland inside Disneyland Park. It does require park admission to ride.

In addition to the Disneyland Hotel is the Grand Californian Hotel which is the south side of DTD.

The resort area is quite compact. Take a look at this map of hotels.

The hotels on Convention Way are about the limit of what one may want to walk from to the gates(15-20 minutes).

As stated, you need park admission to ride the monorail since its only other stop is inside Disneyland at Tomorrowland.

Unlike Disney World, Disneyland Resorts two parks, 3 resorts and Downtown Disney are all next to each other in easy walking distance. No need for buses, boats etc.

The Grand Californian borders California Adventure and Downtown Disney and has its own entrance into CA. Disneyland Hotel is closest to the Monorail but GC or Paradise Pier hotels are also easy walk. Again, everything, parks, resorts, downtown Disney are all very easy to walk between.

Parkhopping is as easy as a couple minute walk between the two park gates.
