Leaving for vegas in 2 weeks and planning on where we should eat. Not looking at doing alot of buffets but would like to do maybe 2. Which ones would you suggest are the best? Also not looking to go to fancy places. We have no car so are limited to the strip area.

Also my one place to eat is In and Out Burger. We are staying at NYNY is there one close to there we can walk to or a short cab ride.

Would love some suggestions.

Thanks so much :)

actually one of our must eats are at NYNY, we usually grab a nathan's dog, then something great at one of the bakeries. we love the little themed food court area. There is a rainforest cafe across the street at MGM, a cheesecake factory and stage deli at the forum shops.
I think the spice market is the best buffet.

We had a good meal at La Salsa at the one at Luxor. We had a stuffed fajita quesadilla, some tacos and a burrito! All good. Service was ok, not great but not horrible either. Good prices.

Earl of Sandwich in the Planet Hollywood hotel. Really good sandwiches at a really good price. They have on in DTD in Orlando so if you've been there you might have seen already had one.

Here is their menu:

Dick's is a fun place in Excalibur right across the street from NYNY.

And Cheesecake Factory in Caesar's.

OH, and California Pizza Kitchen in the Mirage and in the Fashion Show Mall.

Ok we think alike- The last 2 times we've been we went right from the airport to In and Out Burger. It is a must do for us. We also really like the Paris breakfast buffet. My #1 one won't leave Vegas w/out it meal is at the Stage Deli in the Forum Shops Mall. The Pastrami sandwich really hits the spot with me for some reason. In March we had the Wynn Buffet for lunch and it was OK but didn't thrill me. Another spot to try is the Grand Lux Cafe in the Venetian - its a sister restaurant to the Cheesecake Factory and is really good. Have a great trip.

There is an In-N-Out Burger just across the freeway from NYNY - here's a Wikimapia view. Although it's very close distance-wise, I can't say for sure if there is a sidewalk, and it might be a harrowing walk on that bridge anyway, so a cab might be the best plan.

NYNY itself has a good variety of interesting restaurants and counter service - we really like it. We wanted to try the breakfast buffet at the Chinese restaurant but never got around to it.

Cheapovegas reviews usually hit the nail on the head for me - maybe you'll find it useful.

Yea Grand Lux Cafe is on our list. I love Cheesecake factory so if it is as good as everyone says we should enjoy it.

I wouldn't walk to IN & OUT Burger, Vegas has a reputation for tourist-collisions. Best buffet in the area is probably at Planet Hollywood, unless you want to upgrade another 10 bucks to Bellagio or Wynn buffets.

Forum Shoppes at Caesars has Bertolinis for pizza/italian.....Stage Deli.....Cheesecake Factory and Spago. If you like cheesecake factory but have one at home, you might want to try the "upscale" CF in the Venetian...The Grand Luxe Cafe.

Il Fornaio is good right there at NYNY, and the brew pub in Monte Carlo is pretty good. The coffee shop in Paris is really good, too.

Oh, and if you like Chocolate, go split a burger at BURGER BAR in the Mandalay Shops...then next door you have CHOCOLATE SWAN with all kinds of luscious chocolates, some great layer bars, and some frozen custard. Really good...especially the chocolate peanut butter layer bar thing, oh my!

We just came back from our first trip to Vegas and had a great time. My favorite restaurant was definately Mon Ami Gabi, at Paris. There is outdoor seating and a open sunroom that looks out on the Bellagio fountain show. Great food (Sandwiches, French Onion Soup, Quiche, Salads) and even better ambiance. Loved it. It was 105 degrees, but yet we were very comfortable in the sunroom. Have a great time!:)

We go to LV a few times each year since it is only about 3 hours from us. We love, love, love Margaritaville at the Flamingo Hotel. You don't even have to be a big Jimmy Buffett fan to go there since it is so fun!
Our fav buffet is at the Paris ....... really fun theme and wonderful food ......zillions of choices! We like the Paris because for some reason, even with smokers all around, we have never had problems with being overcome by smoke as in some of the other casinos. I've eaten at the posh restaurant in the Eiffel Tower at the Paris and while it was good and the view was gorgeous, I thought the prices were a bit much for what you get. I love the yogurt parfaits they have at the Bellagio and the garden cafe there is excellent and very reasonably priced. We're creatures of habit so when we find something we like we stick with it. Hope you have way much fun!

Bellagio buffet, BOA steakhouse in the Forum shops at Ceaser's (if you drink you have to try the BOA 405 its the best drink I have ever had) also there is this little italian restaurant in the Canal shops at the Venetian I don't remember the name but is right next door to the magic store and across from the coffee place The Coffee Bean. It is the best italian food ever - it is really small but I think its family owned and it is a must do for every trip now.

Ditto for Grand Lux at the Venetian. We also liked Johnny Rockets in the Grand Canal Shoppes. The servers even danced when we were there.

We really like the buffet at Mandalay Bay for any meal. If you take the cross over to Excaliber, you can ride the shuttle/monorail thing for free to Mandalay.

Just had the buffet at the Bellagio last week. Incredible food. Incredibly high prices (nearly $200 for me, DW, and 2 DD's 8 and 10). But it's a meal that we'll talk about for quite a while......

Crab legs
Kobe beef
Lobster ravioli (absolutely incredible)
and on and on and on.......

Next time we go, we'll try the Wynn and the Spice Market. Heard great things about both.

Also did the Rainforest Cafe at MGM.....I'd give it about a 6 out of 10. Decent food. Fun atmosphere. But really nothing all that special.

In n Out Burger rocked. That's on my must-go-to list.

Only other place we ate was at the food court at the Excalibur. Nothing to mention there.

There was an amazing Mexican place inside Treasure Island. The entire family loved it and the items made with filet mignon were the best ever!!! :thumbsup2

1. A little south of the strip is the Silverton. Twin Creeks Steakhouse is wonderful. I have not been there since their remodel, but their food is wonderful. Steaks are fresh made to order.

2. Bar: The dualing piano bar at NYNY. Good times!:dance3:

3. Bellagio buffet: I have heard wonderful reviews, especially about the seafood buffet.

4. Stratosphere: Top of the World restaurant, speaks for itself, food is pretty good. The view is one of a kind.

Have a great trip!

Isla. Very good place. The Border Grill at Mandalay Bay also has great Mexican food. Or try off the strip, at Desert Inn & Eastern, a local's restaurant called Lindo Michocan. Just WOW shrimp enchiladas and amazing food all around.

DH and I had an amazing meal at rumjungle at Mandalay Bay a few weeks ago. We both had the Rodizo Brazillian BBQ and it was just so good! Plus DH had a flight of dark rum and I had their version of jungle juice and another drink called a Havana cabana. GREAT night out without our kids!!

Yes, there sidewalks - but then you have to cross those highway ramps with all the crazy drivers entering and exiting. Ditto on the cab.

Also, Cafe Ba Ba Reeba at the Showcase Mall has tapas, and if you're online immediately after midnight on the first of any month, you can usually get a gift certificate on restaurant.com (but if you wait until there's a sale - like now - odds are these will be sold out; so will the ones for the Ben & Jerry's at Planet Hollywood).

And in the same price range as Margaritaville there's Toby Keith's I Love This Bar and Grill at Harrah's.

There's a Fatburger pretty much across the street from NYNY, and there are bridges over the main intersections of Las Vegas Boulevard, for everyone's safety.

Best places we ate in Vegas 6/08.

Paris - La Village Buffet
Margaritaville - cheese burger in paradise!

Cabbie told us the Wynn has the best buffet now.

We love the Paris buffet as well. I think it's nearly as good as the Bellagio, but somewhat cheaper. That is not to say that we don't love the Bellagio buffet, however.

I also agree about Margaritaville. Great food for a good price.

And if you like seafood, the seafood buffet over at the Rio can't be beat.
