My Club 33 trip ONLY pictures! update x5 3/13 Complete!

Can I tell you that I'm quite upset with myself for not having a trip to go on for March Break? I just can't allow myself to go anywhere this year.... I want to get my debt load down. But I keep justifying the need to go to WDW for March Break! It all makes sense, except the money part. Flights out of Charlottetown right now are TERRIBLE to Florida and California, because now I can go to DL anytime too... I checked and the Saturday of March Break, ONE WAY tickets to MCO are over $1000!!!! I normally try to stay around the $550 mark for a return trip. Once I was able to get $480, but just once. I can get cheaper flights out of Halifax (3-3.5 hours away) but I still can't. So I'm going to paint my bedroom. And work on my WDW trip report for anyone that wants to read that. I'm not planning to start it until after I finish this one though.

After Indy, I decided to go wait on Main Street to see the parade. I wanted to see the parade and then watch Fantasmic! That was my goal for the day, anyways.

So I found a spot and sat down. At around 5:42 according to the exif information. The parade was scheduled for 6:30 I believe. I didn't mind sitting and relaxing.

So I did what I do... I snapped some pictures and looked at the pictures on my memory card already.

Soon they started announcing that it was delayed. I'd been sitting on my behind on the curb since 5:40 ish... 40 minutes so far. My behind was getting sore!

Nice to see you update your report.
Too bad there's no trip to get excited about. I hear you about paying down the debt. Right now we don't plan on going to any Disney Park. There is an outside chance that my wife and I might go to San Francisco this fall and we might, might, have an outside chance of visiting Disneyland for Halloween. Fingers crossed.

I can't believe how much airfare is for you up there. Here I think $140 to LA or Florida is too high!!! :rotfl2:

I was debating what to do... I had been sitting on the ground for 2 hours for a short parade, so I wasn't sure if I wanted to sit on the ground again to wait for Fantasmic! or not.

In the end, after snapping a few pictures, I decided I didn't want to. So I had missed Fantasmic on my last trip to WDW AND my latest trip to DL... I told myself that I would see it for sure at WDW in August.

Oh... well, fingers crossed that the outside chance works out for you and your wife! Especially for Halloween? Have you ever been to a Disney Park at Halloween time? I've only ever been in March and July/Aug, so it's a dream for me to see the parks decorated for Halloween or Christmas.

It's just so nice to get there! There will likely be one this summer for me, but this winter has been so tough I just want to go now AND in the summer! :thumbsup2

And I'm just a tad jealous that you can get there for $140!

So you are going this summer to WDW? Where are you staying?

The Walt Disney Family Museum would be amazing.... and seeing the Redwoods. Sounds like it would end up being a great time for you and your wife.

I will be there in the summer. Just not sure when yet as there is talk that not one, but possibly TWO of my sisters and their families could end up going, and one of my sister's brother in law and possibly sister in law (who has come with me to DL and WDW before, so that's fine.) I would prefer to stay on Disney property, and my hope is for a great deal. Not sure if we'll get it because even though I told my sister to take the last bit of August off in hopes of a great deal, she took the last week of July and the first week of August. My sister's brother in law really wants to stay in a house... :confused3

He has never had the benefits of staying on property I guess. So at this point, the dates are not set, the hotel or house is not picked and one of my sisters still needs to get passports for her four children and her husband, and maybe herself too! I need to get her to check that out. Nothing is set. If this falls through, I am taking a solo trip though! Not sure which hotel I'll pick though, if I'm solo, it's totally a value. Sounds like fun planning, doesn't it?

We've stayed at Port Orleans Riverside and Grand Floridian. I have also done a day of just hotel hopping to check out all the grounds of most of the hotels. That was a fun day!! Hmmm. In no particular order I've stayed at Pop Century x3, All Star Movies, All Star Music, Art of Animation (one night in a LM room), Port Orleans French Quarter, Port Orleans Riverside and the Grand Floridian. One of my nieces wants me to take her to WDW and she wants to stay at All Star Sports because I've never stayed there, so I'm not allowed to stay there until she comes or says she doesn't want to stay there. She's fourteen so she might change her mind!

My dream hotel was always the Grand Floridian (mostly because they stayed there on Full House!), and I've stayed there, but I could definitely do that again. I enjoyed my 3 nights there. My dream goal is to stay at each resort, but it's so hard because I've really loved all the resorts, and they all had their perks. During our stay at POFQ, we took day to see the monorail resorts and the Boardwalk, and I would love to visit all of them too. I have a list of resorts I need to see on my next trip at least.

If money was no object, this summer I think I'd pick the Yacht or Beach Club. I like the thought of being able to walk to some of the resorts. And my restaurant I really want to try that I haven't yet tried is Les Chefs de France. I am a French teacher after all!
