So sorry for your loss.
Leann's Memorial Service was Friday. It was absolutely beautiful and so Leann. We had a balloon release and a butterfly release. Her best friends read a poem they wrote about her and sang Selena Gomez's "Live Like There's No Tomorrow". We had a slideshow of pictures/videos set to some of her favorite songs, including "her song" I picked for her when she was little, "I Hope You Dance" By Leann Womack. Boy did she dance, she dreamt big, stayed strong, and believed. I am so proud of my little woman.
The poem is below...it truly summarizes who my daughter was.
Picture a funny and spunky girl,
With pretty blond hair, sparkling blue eyes and tons of freckles,
Add in tons of energy, personality, and an infectious laugh,
A girl who was friends with anyone and every at school,
Always on the go, involved in every activity,
Dancing, cheerleading, singing, theatre
Church, youth group, and Awanas,
Until one day the beast attacked,
Leann got sick and spent lots of time in the hospital,
Lots of pain, upset stomach and her hair fell out,
She had trouble walking, could not go to school,
Spent lots of time in the hospital,
Got lots of infection and pain,
But never complained,
Always smiled, and fought with strength and courage,
Leann is our hero, and now she is pain free,
She won her battle and is now with God,
Leann, we miss you!
Love, your best friends,
Bekah, Calley, Emma, Ashlyn, and Rylen
