Welcome to 2024 Season!!!
Daytona 500 kicks of on February 18 at 2:30 pm Eastern.

The format will not changed this season. Pick 5 drivers and a spare and the finished will be added and divided by 5. The results will be posted shortly after each race is deemed official (well close as possible).

Please place your picks before the start of the race and be clear on driver/number.

Default thread will be posted shortly. The past seasons the rule was 6 defaults, but it can be eased up with circumstances. Please use my pm if needed. https://www.disboards.com/threads/nascar-default-picks-2024-season.3939391/

If you are new are nervous in trying....have fun and even call yourself rookie.. Just post questions or suggestions. Veteran pickers--- might want to see if the new changes to your favorites.

All are welcome.

I love having cable this year for at least this race. We watch some of the duels before NC Beast went to his part time job.

Weather is looking pretty nasty tomorrow and Sunday. I live about an hour from the speedway, and they are calling for rain/winds/chilly.

I think Chris Buescher's wife is rooting for rain delays. He just made it for their second son's birth on time and he is flying back in time for the race.

Only happened to watch the last part of the race. Allowing/encouraging 'blocking' seems like a recipe for disaster and likely to cause accidents. The top cars seem very closely matched on speed, so the opportunities for passing are limited. Fortunately cars are much safe than in the past, but I could see this resulting in serious injuries and then they will be wondering why. Indy car specifically has rules AGAINST that type of blocking, not sure why NASCAR thinks allowing it is a good idea.
