Our 2nd visit to Michigan International Speedway is for the "Consumer Energy 400" on SUNDAY, August 11th.
Qualifying is set for FRIDAY, August 9th. Please make your picks before qualifying is scheduled to begin.
Some facts and figures:
This is the 23rd race of the 2019 season.
This is a 2.0 mile per lap track and we will see 200 laps raced for a total race distance.
Michigan International Speedway is recognized as the fastest track on the NASCAR schedule due to its wide sweeping corners and long straightways. Plus, there were never restrictor plates in use at Michigan.
The all time win leased for the 2nd race of the year is David Pearson who leads them all with 5 wins.
Active driver leaders are the #4, the #42 and the #22. They each have won twice. The #22 won here in June of this year.
Right behind with one win each are the #1, the #6 and the #18.
It won't surprise me if someone new cracks the win list this year but, who knows for sure?
My Michigan picks:
M Truex JR!!! <~~~ Him maybe? Racing well...team is working well together...
K Harvick <~~~ Doing a lot lot better...a win would suit him just fine...
D Hamlin <~~~ He hit his stride and jeeps on striding!
J Logano <~~~ One more chance Smiley...one more...
K Larson <~~~ Hunch...and reinforced cuz I demoted a regular to a spare this week...
My spare will be Kyle Busch <~~ Something isn't feeling right...I am of half a mind the #18 is resting on his laurels awaiting the playoffs....or...there's some internal squabbling the public is unaware of...hmmm..
Pucks received:
