Nassau Island Excursions Disappearing

Has anyone had their late October Nassau island excursions disappear? Two of my guests had the Blue Lagoon VIP beach day booked. The excursion has disappeared for one person and it is no longer shown on the site (available or sold out). The other person is still booked but apparently is going it alone. This is very frustrating as I do not know if I should book them both for something else (although there is almost nothing available now). I used Dreams Unlimited but I know they do not handle excursions. I am wondering if this is just a single incident or is Disney cancelling excursions and not notifying people.

No, it has less options available to us as well! I just wish they would delete Nassau on our sailing...sorry!

We sail October 16th on the fantasy. Disney just added the blue lagoon excursions to our cruise last week. They must still be figuring out what excursions will be open in October and how many guests they can handle.

This morning my second person's Blue Lagoon VIP beach day disappeared. At least they both have nothing to do at Nassau together now. I also would prefer that they just cancelled Nassau. There is not much to do there unless you have a formal excursion and those are extremely limited right now.

Oct. 9 sailing. Blue Lagoon was just added a couple of days ago.
We have 10 options in Nassau.
I want Nassau because it at least is something for our first time cruisers to see.
We only have 2 stops other than CC

Looking for recommendations for things to do at Nassau that aren’t formal excursions. We have a first timer in our group who just wants to do a little sightseeing

Our November cruise has Pearl Island options. We were looking for Blue Lagoon because we did it several years ago and really enjoyed the day and its not listed.

We did the VIP Blue Lagoon in August. The island is currently very restricted as to where you can go. The VIP area is set up in a small bay just north of the dining area and they keep people from different ships well-separated. Loungers, umbrellas and a couple of picnic tables. Food was good but if you wanted to go to other areas you had to be escorted. You could hear them announcing when certain ship excursions could use the water bounce area and go to lunch. Yet everyone came over on two boats (and you sit in the same seat both ways).

We have had the same disappearing excursion experience on the Disney site. Clearing the cache or reloading the page sometimes fixes the problem. Some people in our three cabin party could see excursions that others could not.

Since cruising resumed we have also noticed that excursions for all lines can appear late. Might be due to operators getting used to new/changing covid rules. Atlantis isn't even open to cruisers yet. Bahamas changed their rules while we were sailing. We have reservations for excursions at Grand Cayman but nobody knows when the island will actually open to tourists.

Is Atlantis waterpark still available in Nassau to go independently? I'm booked for late October and noticed that it isn't available via DCL.

One of the Vloggers I follow who is currently on an Alaskan cruise says it is the same thing in Alaska. Few excursion options. He says the tour operators say it's because they can't find people to hire to run the tours. And the tours that are running are not operating with all the features they would normally have. And it doesn't matter what cruise line.

Things may be different when Disney returns to Nassau, but currently you can just get off the ship and wander about on your own.

This blog has a nice map and walking tour that visits many of the popular sites in Nassau - https://redshoesredwine.com/nassau-walking-guide/

Graycliff, John Watling's, and the Colonial Hilton are all open. Some of the sites are outside and just walk-bys, like the Queen's Staircase and Parliament Square. You would want to check hours for Fort Fincastle and the Pirate Museum

You can only get off the ship and wander on your own if everyone in your party is vaccinated. So, if you are traveling with kids, your only options is to book an excursion through Disney. That could change, but that is the rule as of now.

Didn't mean to mislead anyone, I did not get the impression that the PP was traveling with kids.
