Are people using fabric softener as perfume these days? :laundy: I work with three people who absolutely REEKS of the stuff. It's kinda strange

Yes, it is soo much cheaper and you can buy it by the gallon! :lmao:;)

I know alot of people that rub dryer sheets on their clothes to help with static and wrinkles. Maybe you are smelling that. I do tend to agree. My mom uses both downy liquid and then dryer sheets and to me you can smell her clothes a mile away.

I missed your sense of humur Evil Genius! :lmao:

I could use a case or two of those sheets to hang around the gym on Thursdays. (Cultural differences) We typically shower daily. I don't know the average frequency for the other dudes, but they didn't get that stanky over night.

My sister recently told us about a co-worker who uses Febreze as cologne. :rotfl:

He sprays it all over himself/his clothes when getting dressed and even keeps a little travel bottle of it to "freshen up".

Don't know any one who uses them as perfume, but they're really great for insect repellent! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

:wave2: Tina, welcome back, hope you're all settled in new place!

Yikes!
I've been known to keep one in my pocket on clingy pant day.
I must now be a member of the bad perfume club. The horror.:scared1:

There is Febreeze that smells like Downey. The guys use here at work it in their bathrooms after they stink it up. I can always tell when someone ate a big lunch.

I thought this was called to 'fabreshen" ;)

I work with someone who smokes and when she comes in from smoking she smells disgusting. I think she rubs dryer sheets on her clothes and the combination of the dryer sheets and cigarette smoke makes me sick.

DBF "irons" with Fabreze. He hangs the shirt and sprays it until it is wet then smooths out the wrinkles. :lmao::headache:<- That is me watching him do it. I have to actually dilute the stuff with water and hide the new bottles to stop him from smelling like a dryer sheet. I have tried mentioning it but he still "irons" this way. :confused3

In the winter when I have a ton of static in my hair I keep a dryer sheet in my coat pocket. That way when my hair starts to stand up on it's own I just rub the sheet on my hands and run my hands thru my hair. But I am a sucker for perfume, I wear it everyday.

I love the smell of Downy!

When I was visiting my friend last week, her neighbor came over and I noticed that she smelled "April fresh." I sat next to her and kept breathing it in because it smelled so good.

Huh.

I use dryer sheets and fabric softener, too... but by the time I get the clothes folded and put away the scent has worn off. Makes me bummed.

I always dedicate at least an hour to reading in bed with a book after I wash the sheets.. so I can envelope myself in the scent. Ah...

I LOVE the smell of fabric softener! If they made it as a perfume I would be first in line.
I much prefer fabric softener over cigarette smell or BO :scared1:

I love Downy too!! My kids love the way their clothes smell and I've even heard their friends comment, "your clothes smell so good!!" I know I sound like a commercial, but I like that my family smells like fresh laundry!! :goodvibes

I think fabric softener scents have gotten stronger, quite honestly.

I was in the store the other day & thought I might try something different but every single one of them was so strong, I was just about bowled over! (Yes, I open & sniff them--you know you do it too! :rotfl:)

For now I'll stick with the Downy Vanilla & Lavender because at least it's a fairly light scent; some of these new ones are about as bad as dumping a bottle of perfume on your clothes.

Oh, and I recommend staying away from the new lavender scent Clorox 2 came out with because it's just as bad!

Im addicted to Downy, I put over 2 full caps in each load, and use 7-8 dryer sheets each load, I want to smell sexy
