I want to be able to see Soul in theaters only for the music.I hope I get to see Soul in a theater and I hope I get to do it safely.

I get what you are saying of shifting patterns and more people doing the VOD going forward ... I do still think there will always be a place for big action movies (Marvel, Star Wars, etc) but theaters might evolve to cattering to just that and a lot of the "regular" movies shift to VOD (always be small art houses too of course)
So when is the magical date where we start to get concerned? I have hope that Disney is doing whatever they can to keep this attraction up and running I just don't want to read into it that a continual pushing back of the date is a bad sign when maybe it isn't.
It looks to be just a matter of giving the performers in the some of the cavalcades their days off. Everyone is there on Saturdays. There's one cavalcade not performing every other day of the week.https://blogmickey.com/2020/09/new-magic-kingdom-halloween-cavalcades-schedule/
Feels like this might create more crowding if less chance to see each, though I guess might promote people to come to MK multiple days
