Non-judicial foreclosure

Does anyone have any experience with bidding on a non-judicial foreclosure, or is at least familiar with the process of sending in a proxy bid?

There are no proxy bids, you must be in person for Disney trustee sales. Cash paid day of auction.

I'm picturing a bunch of people in an office lobby with briefcases and a ballot box that you drop sealed bids in... like in the movies. Is that how it works?
