November or January for the Dream?

I am looking at taking my first Disney Cruise and can not decide whether to do a November 3, 3-day following a Halloween stay at Disney or waiting until January 22 and doing a 4-day following a DCP alumni reunion. What are the pros and cons of each season?

Do the longer cruise. The extra at sea gives you a bite of each.

1) A foreign port
2) Castway Cay
3) At sea day

Thanks for the input. Frankly I think cooler weather is more to my liking anyway. I would however love to try snorkeling. Do they provide wet suits in cooler months maybe?
