Oasis...too big?

Looking at Oasis for possible March cruise next year (also looking at Celebrity Reflection and Carnival Glory--clueless about other lines). I've been on the Dream most recently. Will I think the Oasis is totally huge? I have a Dream booked but it is $2500 and a 7 night Oasis superior balcony stateroom (oceanview) is $2600!
Also, is there a rainforest type area, and how is the adult pool/solarium? We won't be using the casino, and it will just be the two of us.

We found the Fantasy more crowded- Oasis seemed to really spread the people out. Loved the adult area- comfy loungers and different levels and some nice two person loungers. If I remember the pools are more lounging type- you can't really swim in them. There is a good YouTube video of it.
I'm not sure about if there is a rainforest room.

For me it is too big. I really have no desire to go bigger than Dream-Class (regardless of line - at this point most of the lines have a similar class... RCCL's Radiance class and on Celebrity the same class as Reflection for example).

We just returned from the Allure (almost identical sister ship). I have also been on Disney Magic, Royal's Grandeur and Voyager of the Seas
You'll get different opinions, but for me, NO, I loved this ship and founds there were tons to do for our family. My husband loved it too but he felt it was a touch too big.

If you book Oasis, you might was to consider your room level depending on what you like doing. We were on deck 7, which we really liked. It wasn't far from the main dining room, one level down was the Boardwalk, two levels down was Promenade and one level up was Central Park. For the pool and outdoor activity areas, we took the elevator.

The ship handles the crowds well (just avoid Windjammer at prime breakfast time)

For dining, people say they have no wait times on Traditional Dining. We were on My Time and made reservations each night. Aside from the first night, we had no waits either.
The show areas are large and also no issue.

I highly recommend the Oasis class ships (but haven't been on Carnival to compare)

So glad to hear the positive feedback about the Oasis/Allure versus Disney ships.

My niece and I have done Disney Magic and Fantasy over the last few years and our next cruise is on the Allure. She's only 5 so the size won't affect her much and there's plenty of different things to do that I expect she won't miss the Disney characters and kids club. In addition to Disney I have cruised several smaller ships and tend to like ships with 3000 or less passengers. I am concerned about the size and am very relieved to hear that the Allure should not feel any more crowded than Disney Fantasy.

We've been on the Fantasy, the Dream, and the Magic, and are booked on the Allure for spring break next year. We're ready to try something new, and the price was right! We got a junior suite on the Allure for about $2400 less than the lowest category balcony (7A) would have cost on the Fantasy for the same week. If you have AWE, search for an episode of Dream Cruises about the Allure. Watching that show got us really excited to try an Oasis class ship!

We are huge fans of the Oasis class ships. We've been on Allure twice and are booked for Harmony for the fall.

There are lots of things to do for all ages. My kids loved the pool and Boardwalk activities (face painting, merry go round, balloon animals, etc). Lots of eateries on board. We loved Park Café in Central Park and Café Promenade for a quick snack. Windjammer was crowded at breakfast though.

It did feel a bit crowded at times, like during parades in the Promenade. But Allure is designed pretty well and spreads out the crowds.

As a PP said, cabin location is pretty important. We stayed on Deck 11 front, and Deck 7 mid-ship. Deck 11 front was pretty far away from everything we usually hung out at (Boardwalk and H20 Zone), but the location on Deck 7 mid-ship was perfect.

Highly recommend the Oasis class ships!
