***Official August 2022 Thread***

I feel like sharing my plans after reading all yours 😄 (Just me and 14 year old, 10 nights at CSR, with hire car)

Day 1 - arrive late after long flight from UK, check in, fall into bed 😴
Day 2 - rope drop MK, late pm pool, eat QS at resort, bed early
Day 3 - rope drop HS, late pm/early evening DS for shopping and QS (or return to HS if ILL for ROTR is late on)
Day 4 - rope drop Epcot, lunch Le Cellier 12pm, late pm pool, QS at another resort
Day 5 - rope drop AK, pm rest in room, MK early evening, stay for 9pm show
Day 6 - restful morning, late TS breakfast at resort, typhoon lagoon for few hours, DS early evening, dine at Boathouse
Day 7 - rope drop HS, Sci-Fi diner lunch, pool late pm, QS at another resort (or return to HS if ILL for ROTR is late on)
Day 8 - rope drop AK, late pm pool, GF Cafe for dinner
Day 9 - rope drop Epcot, lunch Space 220 Lounge, late pm pool, QS at another resort (or back to Epcot if have GotG slot
Day 10 - rope drop at MK, TL late afternoon, QS at resort
Day 11 - checkout, HS until 2.30, leave for airport 😭

Not too many TS or signature dining plans on this trip. The 5 hour time difference takes us a while to overcome so rope drop is no problem for us. We prefer early mornings than late nights in the park.

Great lineup there - looks like it'll be an awesome week!

What's everyone's Magicband plan? The online choices are the worst! I'm debating if we should head to world of Disney the first night or purchase new ones off of Ebay.

There is something about having your ears and Magicband on at the airport 🥲 #FirstWorldProblems
There are just so few options right now! I haven’t really been looking till recently, we have a few from prior trips so may just skip.

Am I correct in there are only 12 options at the moment?? Crazy

I just looked this thing says I have 18 Magic bands, I’m going to count not sure I have them all!

Hi Wayland, great itinerary!! You have just about the same dates as us! We are August 14 -20, and I just CANNOT WAIT. Counting the days down here :)

Yep, and it's been the same ones for months!

I wonder if it's just worth it to wait till we get to Disney and buy magic bands there....

Haven't been since 2019, I remember there used to be hundreds of them. People are reporting there aren't as many now.

Joining the bandwagon of listing our trip plans!

Wed Aug 24 - arrive in the AM. Lazy day at Riviera pool, exploring our home resort for the first time. Doing quick service for meals thru the resort or walking to Carribean Beach for quick service for meals. Getting groceries delivered and picking up a rental car and stroller at various points of the day.

Thurs Aug 25 - Our other family members arrive. Picking them up from the airport, hitting character warehouse, picking up booze and bagels. Hitting White Castle for lunch because we need to 🍔. Drop off our goodies, return the car, head to disney springs. D-Lux Burger for dinner and shopping/exploring for the rest of the night. Stocking up at Erin Mckennas bakery with ALL the things.

Fri Aug 26 - Hollywood Studios Day. Sci-Fi lunch and Docking Bay 7 dinner.

Sat Aug 27 - Magic Kingdom day. Grand Floridian Cafe lunch, Pecos Bill dinner.

Sun Aug 28 - Magic Kingdom day take 2. Pinocchio's Village Haus lunch, Hoop Dee Doo 4pm dinner.

Mon Aug 29 - Epcot. Planning on festival food all day other than stopping at Regal Eagle/Sunshine Seasons for the kids to eat.

Tues Aug 30 - Pool day! Recover from all the park days. Olivias dinner.

Wed Aug 31 - Animal Kingdom day. Hit the park at rope drop, hit a bunch of stuff then take a long afternoon break at the resort. Moonlight Magic at night!

Thurs Sep 1 - Topolinos breakfast. Hang out, maybe hit Disney Springs again or mini golf. Got a sitter that night so the adults are heading to Trattoria al Forno for dinner then bar crawling around the boardwalk.

Fri Sep 2 - Pool day/Disney Springs/maybe some skyliner hopping. Our family members leave that evening. Planning to hit Geyser Point for dinner after we see them off.

Sat Sep 3 - I hired a photographer for some family photos to meet us at the resort for our 10 year anniversary (shh dont tell my husband, he doesnt know) Sanaa for lunch and Beaches and Cream for dinner.

Sun Sep 4 - Departure day for us! We have a late afternoon flight so planning on maybe some bonus pool time/last minute shopping and such.

Rough outline... really only planning high level

Arrival day: fly into Orlando mid day then head to contemporary. Explore the hotel and do quick service there, springs or one of the other monorail resorts for dinner. Snacks arriving...likely from instacart
Full day 1: MK, dinner at whispering canyon
Day 2: AK, celebration cake or cupcakes somewhere at dinner time for DD's birthday....our TA said Contempo often has them. Our travel party grows by 1
Day 3: DHS, dinner at via Napoli
Day 4: epcot, breakfast at chef mickeys
Day 5: DHS, brunch at topilinos
Day 6: MK
Then day 7 head home late morning

Each day will likely have some hopping. Pool time during mid-day breaks. Would really like to take advantage of watching enchanted and the water pagent from the hotel whenever possible. Also checking out the MNSSH fireworks from the observation deck too. Hoping to catch Harmonious at least once and hoping for one day for it to be dark enough to see Pandora illuminated but 8pm doesn't seem too dark in August...we'll see.
I have a list of QS restaurants the kids will eat at. Last time we went it was all about pizza...hopefully they'll branch out a bit this year but realistically it's doubtful.

Okay, you've all got such great plans, thought I'd share mine. I go quite often and my plans tend to be fluid. This is an annual MNSSHP long weekend Aug 26-29. Visiting my CM daughter and her CM bf who work at the Grand Floridian. I'll be staying at the GF in a 2 Bedroom Villa. Group of 7, leaving the husbands at home. Myself, my teen daughter, my adult niece and her kids, ages 10 and 6.
Day 1: Arrive Orlando. Head to the VGF and then to MNSSHP.
Day 2: Resort Day - sleep in, eat breakfast and lunch at the Villa. Spend the day at the pool, rent a pontoon, have a drink at Trader Sam's and/or Dole Whips at the Poly, resort activities and Movies Under the Stars for the kids, watch Enchantment from Gasparilla Grill. Dinner is TBD, but might be a Pizza Party at the Villa with Celebration Cake (because my niece is getting re-married in September and I'm doing a couple of "bachelorette party" touches). This is the first time we've ever planned for a full resort day, but in past trips we often found ourselves exhausted and saying that we wished we'd built in more pool / relaxation time. It's HOT in August.
Day 3: DHS Early Entry, lunch at Sci Fi, afternoon break, Hoop De Doo at 4pm, then boat over to the MK for Enchantment.
Day 4: TBD.

Our plans once we check into POP for 16 nights:

Day 1: check in late afternoon, swim/eat/show kids around resort
Day 2: SeaWorld
Day 3: No parks
Day 4 : Aquatica
Day 5: Hollywood Studios
Day 6: Magic Kingdom
Day 7: Chefs Mickeys late breakfast, Epcot evening
Day 8: Animal Kingdom, TREX dinner
Day 9: Magic Kingdom
Day 10: Aquatica
Day 11:No parks
Day 12: Epcot + our youngest turns 4!
Day 13:Hollywood Studios
Day 14: Magic Kingdom
Day 15: Hollywood Studios
Day 16: Magic Kingdom

We have 10 days at Disney because we have two small kids and dont anticipate them being able to do full days, so we wanted the flexibility to just go for a morning or an evening while still getting to enjoy a park almost everyday. We are thinking RD till lunch then return to a different park in the evening.
