** OPENING DAY PRICING MID 2019: Magic, Wonder, Dream, Fantasy **

I think my original post was missed so posting again for add to main list :)

S Dream 9/16/2019 5A 2A $1905.48 [878.40|878.40] taxes/fees $148.68 no ins/trans/air/grat yes OBB

Also got quote for the Dream 9/23/2019 sailing - total was about $1940 for category 5A stateroom - didn't have it broken out by person once I heard price, just booked the one we originally wanted.

Thanks for updating that list, I'm sure it is a lot of work!!

Thanks so much!!! I'm looking at the 08-24 really wanted a Verandah but now I'm nervous my 2a2k budget is 7200. Wish we could go 9-7 but alas I'm a teacher! Also sorry I'm new to this what does OBB stand for?

I believe OBB - stands for 'on board benefit' - the 10% discount one gets when they book a holding reservation on an existing cruise. For example I paid $250 USD on our last cruise - we received a 10% discount on the cruise that we booked today. You have 2 years to cruise and get the benefit - otherwise you get your money back.

My TA started at 6AM and has still not been able to get through. 6 hours later, one disconnection and still no reservation. I'm so stressed. I've been trying to get through too and nothing but a busy signal.

Thank you! Do you know your fare amounts for the 2A1K? We're 2A1K in a 9B same cruise and tax/fees are $1200! Did you book through Disney or Costco?
I haven't used Costco, but there have been some discussions on the board about this in the past. The net number is the same, but Costco apportions the amounts differently. Seems they move their commission amount (which is built into the standard DCL fare) to taxes and fees, so the fare amount (and, therefore, the cash card you get back) is less. Perhaps other Costco folks can provide further clarification.

Anyone going to Alaska on the Wonder have info on their tax/fees? I'm browsing what I can find and wondering if there is a certain date during the summer that they increase? We're going mid-August and they are very high vs. what they were for 2018 and what I'm seeing on some earlier summer bookings posted here.

ETA: Now I'm really perplexed - our tax/fees are also twice as much as a couple of reports on here for the weeks right after us for similar bookings. Can any other Costco bookings weigh in on tax/fees?

Another Costco data point: our taxes were about $402 for each of us: Fare 3105/3150/999 + 1208.79 in taxes (so the same amount in taxes as you are seeing but our fares are higher). This is for the 5/20/2017 Alaska 7 day.

Me too - online booking tomorrow it is!

Still no word from my TA either and nothing in my DCL account. Hesitant to start calling myself at this point. What time do the phones close?

Feeling beyond fortunate; worked with a Disney Cruise Vacation Planner that has helped us in the past. She came in an hour before her shift to call me to help with getting things booked.

S Dream 8/26/2019 7A 3A $3,225.42 [1,177.20|1,177.20|648.00] taxes/fees $223.02 no ins/trans/air/grat yes OBB
S Dream 8/26/2019 10A 2A1C $3,322.22 [1,204.00|1,204.00|691.20] taxes/fees $223.02 no ins/trans/air/grat no OBB
S Dream 8/26/2019 10A 3A $3,351.22 [1,204.00|1,204.00|720.00] taxes/fees $223.02 no ins/trans/air/grat no OBB

Hopes this helps someone!

Thank you for the info! I was actually starting to wonder if it was something like that because the total came out to almost exactly what we were expecting, based on what we've been reading in this thread.

Thank you for the data point! Seems that Costco just builds in a certain amount for fees/tax/commissions/whatever no matter what.

Thank you both, I guess I can rest a little easier, but I don't like this different breakdown. At least the total seems comparable to what I'm seeing on here. And I can tell you that our cruise increased about $800 for the 3 of us from one year to the next. Ugh. But hoping it will be worth it, as 2019 will work so much better for us and I guess we have more time to get discounted Disney gift cards and various travel rewards cards/points to help offset some cost.

And, yay, we got our desired room (same one we cruised in on our Wonder Bahamas cruise), so that's awesome!

Another question: on my reservations, it states
Activities: Pay in full to start booking April 28, 2019
Does that mean everyone can only start booking activities on April 28th or as soon as you make a full payment?

Caught up to here!
Only if you feel like modifying the Wonder post, based on my questions above about Costco's fee vs. fare allocation, maybe my listing should not separate fares and fees like it does (we're the 8/12 Alaska 9B 2A1K) - if you want to change it to be comparable to Disney's numbers, fares + tax/fees for each adult are 2677.93 and the kid is 1637.73. Thanks!

10pm Eastern.

At this point it's not looking likely for me to be booking today. It's 12noon PST and I'm STILL getting a busy signal. :sad2::sad:

April 28 is the day you can online check-in and start booking activities as long as you are Paid in Full. For Concierge, Platunum, Gold, and Silver this date will be before the official PIF date when cancellation penalties come into play.

I have to follow you :) We have the same breakout of kids, just in reverse (mine are 5, 5, and 3)
You're brave to have another one after having twins first! I told my hubby we were done after the twins came because they were coming out with friends! They sure are fun though - ours are boy/girl, and older child is a daughter.
