Have a trip plan next year to Disneyland staying at the new villas at the Disneyland hotel.

Currently I have a four night.

Wife and I really do not want to do anything else outside the Disney bubble.

Is 5 days/4 nights too long?

Absolutely not…sounds perfect!

I equate it to this…I just came back from 5 days in Seattle. First day…clueless and on googlemaps constantly. By the third day, I knew where train was, monorail, which way to go to Pike Place and avoid the most homeless people and even had a favorite donut shop. When we left, I felt like I had a good grasp on the downtown area. could I have come in just for the weekend and went full out to do everything in two days? Yep. But I wouldn’t really haves feel for it. Disneyland is no different…I know people who go for a weekend and tell me they”did everything “. I just smile.

with your length of stay, you will have figured the best paths to get to where you want to go, where you like to eat and where to avoid. You’ll feel like you belong…enjoy your trip and savor each moment.

I think 5 days and 4 nights is perfect. You'll get to see everything you want, do things you like multiple times. You'll have time to get used to where things are the first day or two so you'll be able to navigate things easier on your further days.

Our first trip we did 7 days (back in the olden days when you could add days to your tickets). It allowed us days to sleep in so we could close our the parks since days, and some days to wake up early and get the parks for rope drop. You'll be able to do the same if you want; You'll have enough time for sleep-in-and-stay-late days and other days rope drop.

I really think 5 days is pretty perfect for first trips!

We've settled on 4 park days as our preferred number for a 5 or 6 day trip and will usually do 2 days in the parks, then a break day, then 2 more days. We don't get bored so that isn't an issue, but all the walking can wear us out after too many days in a row.

Just piling on with the general consensus here, that five days will be great. Especially since it's your first visit to Walt's park, you'll want to take time to soak up the atmosphere. Five days will give you time to sit and do some people-watching, to take breaks back at the DLH (including some relaxing pool time), and to go back and do the things you particularly liked in the first 2-3 days. Have a great time!

Hope you enjoyed your stay at once was known as the Emerald City. It is unfortunate that you could not have experienced the Market and surrounding areas 3+ more years ago. There are still some great areas but man, it sure has changed.

We don't live in Seattle proper but I work in the SODO District just south of where the Mariners and Seahawks play. We don't venture into the downtown area unless we absolutely have to such as for specialist visits at Swedish.

Sorry for being a downer on this post but it hurts to see how much has changed after living in this area for 30+ years.
