Our WILD Fairytale Wedding and Honeymoon Trip! And We're off!!!

Well I waited for as long as I could but I'm getting so excited for our trip I needed somewhere to let it out!!

The Who:
Me...Amanda...AKA MainStMandy. The MainStMandy comes from my time as a CM on Main St. One of the best times of my life! I have been hooked on Disney since I was a kid. We took our first trip when I was 18 and I have gone at least twice a year since then. I have a bit of OCD...like a lot of people on the dis

The Fiance...Eric. Eric went to WDW once as a child. His first adult trip was with me, my best friend and her husband last June. Check out our TR here. Eric liked Disney before that trip...but now he LOVES it. I am so lucky to have found someone who loves Disney like I do! The only thing Eric loves as much as Disney...golfing!

The What:
On April 5, 2009 Eric popped the question!! He took me back to the same park we had our first date, read me a poem he wrote himself and got down on one knee We had discussed weddings prior and had some different ideas...I brought up the idea of getting married at Disney. At first he was hesitant, but he more I showed him, the more he liked the idea. After our trip in June, he was hooked. The plan was in motion for our Disney Fairytale Wedding!

The When:
Eric and I will be leaving Friday, February 26th for Orlando. That weekend all our friends and family will be arriving. The wedding is on Wednesday, March 3 and we leave to come home Monday, March 8.

The Where:
Eric and I changed our plans several times for this trip...partly because of wedding events, partly because of my job and what time I could get off from work. After we nailed down our dates and events, we made plans for where to stay.
Friday-Check in to a Studio Villa at AKL.
Sunday- Check in to a Studio Vill at BWV
Sunday (3/7)- Check into a Theme Park View room at the Poly

Our itinerary and ADR's:

Friday- We will arrive around 1:30 p.m. After picking up our rental car, we will check-in to AKL and then head to EPCOT. We have ADR's at Teppan Edo.

Saturday- As crazy as it will be, we are headed to DHS for ESPN the Weekend! We only plan to stay for half the day before heading to MK for dinner and Wishes. Last trip we went to Liberty Tree Tavern and Eric loved it...so we are headed back!!

Sunday- Boma breakfast before checking out of AKL. We will spend the day at AK and then check-in to the BWV. Dinner will be at Wolfgang Pucks (one of my favs!)

Monday- Today we meet with our photographers and get our marriage license. We don't have a park planned because I'm not sure how much time we'll have. Our Best Man, Maid of Honor, my brother (our officiant) and my parents arrive today. We have ADR's at Raglan Road for just our bridal party.

Tuesday- Eric is very excited for Tuesday. His best mand and he have a Tee Time at Magnolia Golf course. I can't believe how excited they really are about this!! While Eric's golfing, my Dad and I are going Kayaking at FW and will meet up with my Mom and Brother at EPCOT later.

Today is also our rehearsal followed by our rehearsal dinner at 'Ohana (about 12 of us). Once dinner is over, we will head over to EPCOT where we are having a Dessert Party for all of our guests. I'm excited for the yummy desserts!!!

Wednesay- Wedding Day!!! My mom, Maid of Honor and I have ADR's at the GF Cafe for breakfast and then getting our nails done at the GF Spa. We'll head back to the room to get ready.

Our ceremony is at 5 at the Wedding Pavilion followed by our reception at AK!! I'm so excited to be marrying Eric

Thursday- We plan to sleep in. Not sure where we will head today but we have ADR's at Le Cellier with my Maid of Honor and her husband.

Friday- This morning we are going on the Backstage Safari Tour at AK (Christmas gift from my brother). We have ADR's at Whispering Canyon tonight with my Maid of Honor and her husband again.

Saturday- This originally was our last night so we have dinner plans at Citricos for a nice romantic evening.

Sunday- Today we check in to the Poly!! We are very excited to stay here and have ADR's for Kona.

Monday- Departure day We have ADR's for Kona for breakfast before we leave for the airport.

We aren't too stuck on which parks for which days since we will have AP's this trip! Hopefully you'll stick with me for the next 32 days!! I want to make sure this report is about the entire week, not just about the wedding, but feel free to ask questions if you want to know more!!

Hey lady How are you??

So I feel like I don't have much to update...most of my updates are wedding related so I don't want to bore all of you with them.

I am trying to find a better deal on our car rental...we always rent a car. We have tried to the buses but we like have the control of the car Can we say OCD?

We also need to start packing. We have put it off since I have no idea what's going to fit. Df has lost 22 lbs recently! He found out he had a problem with his liver and the dr advised him to cut the crap and start getting back into shape. I'm working on it too (have a dress to fit in to!!) so I think in a few weeks we will hit up Target and Walmart for some necessities (tanks, t's, socks...). I'm also getting my hair cut in a few weeks which it desperately needs!! I'm waiting till we get a bit closer to the trip.

Otherwise, not much going on. All of friends and family have booked their trips. Eric's family is staying off property We couldn't convince them otherwise...I wish his brother at the very least had. They are traveling with 3 kids and it's their first trip. He hasn't budgeted anything for food saying the'll just eat at McDonalds I understand why his parents don't want to but....Oh well!

Yay! I'm excited to read! I think it's great you are having your reception at the Animal Kingdom! I haven't seen any other disbrides doing that. Deff. want to see lots of pictures after the wedding! Wedding related updates are never boring

This is my THIRD attempt at answering this post. I finally wised up and typed it in word.

Since you asked…I thought I would give a few more details of our wedding day events.

We will begin on Tuesday with our rehearsal. Eric and I chose to have a small bridal party. I haven’t introduced them yet, so here goes:

Michael: My baby brother and our officiant. He got ordained a few years ago and has done a wedding and a vow renewal so far.

Lauren: One of my very best friends. Eric’s first adult trip to Disney was with Lauren and her husband Patrick. She has helped keep me sane throughout this process!!

Eric: Eric’s best friend for…oh I don’t know, since they were teenagers. They were both quite rebellious back in the day but have since grown up. Eric is married to Danielle and they have an almost 2 year old.

So our Rehearsal will be those I just named, plus both our parents and my maternal grandmother.

After the rehearsal we will head to ‘Ohana for dinner. My FMIL really wanted to have a Welcome type event for all our guests, but quickly realized it was a little out of everyone’s price range. So we opted for a dessert party instead!! Our party will be held at EPCOT in the UK.

And did I mention our yummy dessert buffet?? MMM!!!

Wednesday, Wedding Day, will begin with Mom, Lauren and I having breakfast and getting our nails done at the GF. I have to be ready to meet Eric at 2:30. After some pictures everyone will head to the Wedding Pavilion for the ceremony.

After the ceremony, a motor coach will arrive to take our guests to Harambe:

The reception is planned to go until 10:30 after which some of us might head to DTD or Jellyrolls.

Both Eric and I are super excited about the events and are really hoping our guests have a good time!

Hi!! Thanks for reading!! We are so excited about our reception. Df just found out the other day we could have had the ceremony there too and he's bummed, lol. I love that we have a little of everything though.

No dumb question...nothing we have planned requires guests to pay to get into a park. For our Dessert Party they will meet us in a central location and we are escorted by CM's to our location. Same for the wedding reception Of course if they chose to go to the parks during that week, that's up to them!

It must be so exciting! I'm excited for you and I've only read through bits and pieces of your PJ (which is awesome and very helpful, btw!).
