Palo's View

Just wondering about the night view(dinner) vs. the day view(brunch). Besides the obvious daylight factor which is more appealing? Can you see anything other than darkness? We are sailing 12-14 so the days will be very short ! Thought we would probably enjoy the brunch view more - food is great at either- right? Thanks!!

At night there is really no view at all, they have the blinds down since it's dark anyway.

The daytime view is spectacular, though! :)

Try to get your reservation for Palo's dinner at 6:00. that is the earliest seating and you have a much better shot at a window seat (most of the seating is by the window, but what a bummer to get an inside seat).

We went on St. Thomas Day at 6:00 and were able to watch a wonderful sunset on the port side of the ship!

In December (when we go) it seems like it's dark by 6:00 pm so an early dinner doesn't help. But in the summer months when it's lighter later you could get an early dinner and still see the sun.

And yes, Barb, the sun is still out for high tea. :)

Yes! That was probably my one disappointment in Palos(very minor though). We were seated sort of in the aisle. It wouldnt have been so bad if the tables were staggered with the ones along the window, but if we turned to check out the view, we were directly staring at the couple next to us. Our dinner started when it was still a little light out, but then it was dark by the time we finished. It would have been nice to have had a view, without feeling bad about watching people eat. But view or not, the food was worth it!
