One roommate for the 4 bedroom suite is acquired! Now they need to find another pair that has matched up to complete the set, if anyone will respond.

She and her roommate would like to get together. There is a town that would be about a halfway meeting point which has a few restaurants and a Walmart. Trying to think of what they could do together that would be somewhat fun and not too awkward.

My DD found her roommate through a former travel softball teammate. Her former teammate knew both DD and the other girl, heard they were going to the same college and said, "You two need to room together. You are both super funny and would get along really well." Both girls took her advice! Turns out DD's roommate goes to a neighboring high school, and she played on DD's 10U All Star softball team 8 years ago. Then the roomie switched to cheerleading. She and DD got together a couple of weeks ago, went to a party and DD spent the night at her house. That solidified things for DD because she really enjoyed hanging out with her new roommate. We are in the process of ordering matching bedding now!

I hope your DD likes her new roommate just as much!

DD had her Softball Awards Dinner this past week. She won the Coach Brady Award (named after a coach killed in a boating accident) for leadership, attitude, ability and cheerfulness. She also got a Captain's Award and made 2nd Team All Conference. Grad parties are in full swing this weekend, Graduation is this coming Wednesday. Grandparents get into town tomorrow. Now I gotta go clean my house!

For Newman house. We looked at the different dorms and it was her first choice. We are not catholic. She thought it could be a calm atmosphere. We had a great RA give us our tour, the meal plan is flexible enough, if she isn't close for lunch due to her schedule they will make her one to go. You can order late meals and have them held. They have a full kitchen you can reserve to make whatever you wish for yourself, you provide the food for that. Relatively Close to her classes. She thought she would be comfortable there with the vibe they expressed. And really it was not that much more then Illini towers.

My daughter has 1 more paper to finish and she's DONE. However, she's dragging her feet like you wouldn't believe. The deadline had been today but the teacher extended it to Monday.

That really wasn't a help as it just makes the procrastination worse.

DD is going down to DC on Sunday for 2 day college orientation so she has to finish before then.

Oh, and she has to decide on her class schedule before she goes as well. Luckily they're taking the train so she'll have time to do stuff.

My DD graduated last night‍Now I just need to get through one more week until her party. After that I'm done and only have to worry about driving her to grad parties.

Next it's dorm shopping. We went to Ross and she was checking out comforters , patterns and colors. I told her to take pictures for later and decide what she wants as parttern, style etc

It's been so nice since my daughter got her license and car last year! No more driving and having to go out at midnight to pick up!

Well, my DD graduated yesterday and we had a joint graduation party earlier today. It went really well! It was so nice to share the expenses and work with so 4 other families. My DD wanted a photo booth and the kids loved it! I was up at 2:00 am cutting out the frame and gluing on the gold foil on one side. I also did her picture board last night after we came back from dinner. It looked really good but I am such a freaking procrastinator.

Speaking of procrastinators, my little chip off the old block got the job at the Pool teaching little kids to swim. All is good in my world.

Question: We haven't done the loan videos and promisary note. DD doesn't need to take the unsubsidized loan. She went on to her account and unclicked the unsub loan but it doesn't let her click to next page so its not letting her update the change. What steps do I need to do? Payment is due the 19th. help!

I'm trying to look up ideas for some photo booth frame ideas. I bought some props at the dollar store Graduation theme. At the .99 store I bought an emoji theme and a fancy:crown, tira, mustache etc. Today I found one with black shapes and grad hats that you write on with chalk. I want to do one frame with flowers, one with congrats and dd's name, class of and need idea for emoji one. Im looking for the large 3D fowers to make too. Kids love the photo booth stuff

I'm afraid every school's portal is different. You or your DD should call or email her school's financial aid office. You could also try googling: school name decline loans (or something like that), just to see if anything comes up.

I bought a backdrop and props from Amazon and they both came right away (Prime): Both were excellent! I'll see if I can get a photo from my DD. I bought a black foam board from Staples and 2 sheets of gold foil for the frame but you could also just use a poster board (although I thought that would be a little flimsy with repeated uses).

The kids LOVED it ... even the boys. One girl visited the party and she had the shelter for the next block of time and asked that we leave it for them.

Today is the last day of school here, too. I snapped a quick cell phone photo through the screen door of him getting on the bus for the last time ever. I was doing ok, and then I ran across a video on Facebook of the graduates in cap and gown at the elementary school last Friday, and I lost it.

Wow, what are seniors doing between now and the 23rd?

Last day of classes is Thursday and then finals, which dd doesn't have to take. Graduation is next Tuesday.

Nothing- the last two weeks are for testing but the seniors don't have any Regents exams so they are done as of today.

This is where we are, too. Ours graduate on June 24th. Exams are scheduled from now until then, but most seniors don't have any Regents or local exams left.
