I LOVED THIS RIDE. I was devastated when it was turned into Pooh.

The Mickey Mouse arm, glove and wand logo attached to Spaceship Earth in Epcot

I remember this from when I was little. Brings back memories.

Thank goodness! Same for the Epcot hand and wand, such an eye sore. I'm glad both of these are gone or almost gone.
I'm still upset that this is being removed. Even though I came to Disney before it was put up (when I was little) all of the memories I remember from Disney include this hat and my boyfriends first trip the hat was up.

Always a classic.

Though a majority of these pictures I don't remember because I was too young it's amazing to see the changes that have occurred at Disney over the years! Awesome pictures everyone!

I'm loving all the pictures! I have the photo album with pictures from my very first trip in 2000 next to me. I should post some here.

What/where is this?

Dan
Disney Springs, aka Downtown Disney, aka Disney Village Marketplace started out as Lake Buena Vista Village. The lake was surrounded by Lakeside Villas, (studios, one bedroom and two bedroom villas). Also, along the fairway's of the LBV golf course were some very modern larger homes for daily rental. Finally, there were the Treehouse Villas in the woods. Those are still there. The photo is of a Lakeside Villa building. They were plowed under to make way for the Disney Institute, and later Saratoga Springs. The one in the picture is where Saratoga Springs sits now. As a family of 6, we were too big for a hotel room. So we stayed in these Lakeside Villas most if the time. Sometimes we got a Treehouse.

Flight of the Navigator ship on the Studios backlot tour (photo circa 1999):

My high school drama teacher played a security guard in this movie and according to him he was the first person ever to say a bad word in a Disney movie.I can't verify if he actually was the first one but I know I saw him in the movie and he did say a bad word.
