It was too tall for the trolley wires. Some of the other floats have been slightly shortened as well, I've heard.

Thanks for the explanation. Just showed the parade video to my girls, who saw it at Disneyland back in 2016, and their first question was "What happened to the Frozen float?" I thought maybe it was removed to reflect a decline in Frozen fever, but this makes more sense given that they are making a second Frozen movie.

So, with parades is usually 45-1 hour a good time to grab a spot and sit with kids?
