Point charts

I am thinking of buying a DVC (used). I noticed the point chart says 2015. Do the point chart change every year and the points keep going up?

The point charts generally remain the same year after year and even if re-balanced they will still be somewhat similar to what they are today.

The dates change - most of those changes because of holidays that fall on different days I think.

There are a fixed amount of points per resort. If one category goes up, another must come down. But it doesn't seem to happen too often.

Points have been reallocated only 3 or 4 times in the 24 years since DVC opened. It's pretty unusual but as was mentioned if points go up somewhere they must go down somewhere else. Otherwise the charts just change because of holiday dates changing.

The above is true for DVC resorts.

Points do change for trading options - like cruises or Adventures by Disney trips. Those can go up every year (and usually seem to).
