Has anyone recently been, and knows how much the photo and video packages are?

Thanks in advance!

I was wondering that too. ;)
1) Also does anyone know how many photos are on the cd you can buy ?
2) Can you ask the photoghters to take certain photos?
Thank you.

Someone has posted a full chart before but:

Adventure Package - $139
(5- 6x8 photos, keychain set with wallets and 4x6, and photo CD)

Basic Package - $59
(3- 6x8 photos, keychain set with wallets and 4x6)

Add DVD of Dolphin Experience to either package for $50

Edit: there are also "a la carte" prices for individual items that make the packages economical. A DVD without the package is $75, and a Photo CD without a package is $125.

ALL photos go onto the photo CD, except for morning comp photo. So, look for the photographers in the aviary, ray pool, near the falls in the river, and the random appearance of a roaming or underwater photographer to add to the dolphin photos.

1) Any photo taken (except for the morning comp. photo) will be put on the photo CD. Make sure to remember where you had photos taken and what last name might have been taken. Photographers will take a photo of the ID cards guests wear so the download team can sort the photos into files. Sometimes families will have more than a few last names and forget that one of the children had photos with a different name. The photo sales clerks are trained to ask if you had photos taken in the different locations to make sure all of your photos end up on the CD. I would think around 30-40photos is common, depending on how many people are in the party and if you actually seek out photos (you could end up with a lot more). Some people might leave with 12photos if they are a couple who only took dolphin shots.

2) The dolphin interaction will have photos that are setup by the trainers and are standard shots. A photographer might catch a few non-standard moments, but most likely you will end up with the key shots. Outside of the dolphin interaction feel free to ask photographers in their stations to get photos. To some degree you can specify the photos you want, pose how you want, and ask for group shots. But a photographer is not supposed to take photos outside of their station because of the way files are sorted, so asking the photographer to go outside of the aviary and take shots on the beach would not work.

There is occasionally a roaming photographer who will be near (or wading in) the resort pool and that is a gem because they can take ANY (decent) photo you want. If a roaming photographer really interests you, stop into the Adventure Photo cabana in the morning and ask for the times someone might be out. During the slow season it is very rare, like the underwater photographers in the river.

Just like to add, in my opinion, the price is definitely worth it. We went to DC in August and bought the photo CD and DVD and absolutely love both. The clarity and color of the pictures in phenomenal and the DVD is spectacular! It also helped that when I booked, there was an AmEx special -- for every full price admission (w/dolphin encounter) each participant received a $50 Am Ex gift card. Well, with three of us, we only added a little more to those $50 gift cards and that paid for everything!

Just want to add here that you need to plan on purchasing some package if you want pictures of your experience. Unless they've changed, you can't bring your own camera with you. Definitely go for the dvd as the pictures are then "yours" and you can download them to your computer. Have a great visit, it's a great way to spend a day!

We were there in August and I had my own camera. No one stopped me, and no one asked any questions. Many people had their own cameras. I believe the only time you couldn't have a camera was in the water during the dolphin experience. However, if a family member or friend was not participating and wanted to take pictures from the beach, that was fine.

The ultimate package is $218..... includes a magnificent quality poster, a book and 9 photos I believe plus a book to put them in, plus everything else included in the the above adventure package. The photo paper quality is very high. You can ask them to take pictures. Be sure to ask for underwater pictures in the lazy river. We saw the lady there midafternoon.... those pictures are totally cute! I think we ended up with 92 photos(aviary, stingray pool, dolphin pool and lazy river).

So you can definitely get loads of photos for a photo cd?
Looked at one site that mentioned 10, 15 and 20 photos on cd for increasing prices.

THose, say, 5 6x8 photos - I assume these are printed and are they all the same shot?

We did end up with 92 on our cd. I did seek them out in the stingray pool and the aviary. No, the 6 x 8's are of any pictures you chose. If you get the ultimate package you get a book that holds them all and you get seven of them. The underwater pictures are really cool. let me try to post.

One other thing, when we did our group pictures(the girls and I) I specifically asked for pictures of just the two girls together too. They were happy to do them... so we did the three of us, then just them two, then each of them by themselves. This picture here just makes me shiver, it is priceless!

If you buy the CD, how soon do you get it?

you get everything that day. They do ask that if you want the DVD to let them know ASAP as it takes about an hour. The photographers(video and still) actually get out of the water with you after your dolphin swim and take you to the computers and show you those pictures right away. I wanted the DVD and posters and told them which poses, but everything else that we got, I picked out at the end of the day after all the pictures had been taken.

This is just the information I've been looking for. When do I tell them I want the $218 package? Can I tell them when I get there? Do they operate like a Photopass?
