Question for Aulani Owners

Have you managed to get a "welcome home" booking by purchasing add-on points? We decided to bring MIL to Aulani with us this September. There is no last minute DVC studio left. So our choices are:

1. Cram her in with us (7 in a 2BR is not too bad, I guess).
2. Pay cash.
3. Buying 50 VGF points and try to negotiate a welcome home stay.

Needless to say which option is the most attractive to my DVC-logic afflicted brain...

ETA: As we are Australian, guides aren't even allowed to talk to us or answer questions by email until we are physically on American soil.

They don't do welcome home with add ons.

It’s only for first time owners to help with that first booking. Even a new owner can lose out if they book something on their own before the call.

We had 7 in a 2BR lock-off at Aulani, 4 adults and 3 kids.... It was fine. But really depends on the ages of everyone involved and comfort of sleeping arrangements.
