Great thread topic, I was going to start one like this.
It would be great to see Navigators from the Alaska cruise!
If anyone can scan Navigators, that would be great!

Inside Passage:
The captain came on with his nightly report about 8:00, and explained (again) that the reason we had come up on the west side of Vancouver Island on the northbound portion of our cruise rather than coming up the Inside Passage was because anytime a new ship cruises Alaska for the first time, it has to be certified (I don't think that's the word he used, though), that it is able to navigate the rather narrow passage safely. Our cruise is the only Disney Alaska cruise that is scheduled to go north the way we did -
all of the others will cruise the Inside Passage both north and south. (Good news for anyone who is worried about being seasick, since they should not experience the rough seas that we had on our second day.) [Gilbreath]

- The Pirate Night dessert buffet will be in Beach Blanket Buffet
- Tracy Arm Fjord - BBQ lunch available on deck 9 (with halibut, salmon, steak, potatoes, pretzel rolls)
- Will be offering a new specialty hot drink every night
Merchandise
- T-Shirts: Alaska TShirts are available on board.
- Inaugural: "Most of the merchandise did not seem to be 'Inaugural Alaska' merchandise."
- Pins: "Yes, there are special Alaska pins available. Open edition pins, as well as a limited edition set on our cruise - I don't know if there will be other limited edition sets available on future cruises, though." [Gilbreath]
- Scrap booking: Someone very specifically mentioned on being sold.
Pools
Various reports have supported the fact the the pools are heated and warm enough to swim if you want to do so (up to 89 degrees); however, other reports have shown that there are definitely not the crowds at the pools that other Disney cruises typically have. Also, when the waters have been very rough, there have been reports of the pools being closed (on Wednesday 5/4 due to 8-12' swells.)
Tracy Arm
- Where there talks with naturalists or any presentations about local history and culture?
There were naturalist presentations each sea day and at Tracy's Arm. It was broadcast on Funnel Vision while we sailed in. They also had special Alaskan-themed activities for the kids. On Tracy Arm day, they had the club and lab up on the Wide World of Sports deck, which was netted off. The kids could go in there and play while the adults watched the scenery. You could grab them out for a quick photo if needed, so that was very convenient. They also had coffee and hot chocolate available on deck 10. They had photographers out taking pictures at Tracy Arm, so make sure you get yours taken! They are gorgeous! They also had characters out on Deck 10 at Tracy Arm all dressed up in Alaskan gear.
Weather
Reports of sun, rain, snow, cloudy, and clear.
Wildlife
Reports of seals (as seen in blogs) and whales.
Characters
- Minnie - Alaskan fashion all bundled up in jacket with hood and boots.
- Chip and Dale
- Captain Mickey
Debarkation
- Process: Disney has seven different luggage tags and they will ask that only one group at a time gets off the ship, calling luggage tag characters. [Post by trimix]
