We are going to be trying for a BG on Sunday morning. I’ve been practicing and doing well. What I’m nervous about is the time change—getting fired up to try at 7am is one thing, getting fired up to try at effectively 6am after a 10pm MK close the night before is another! I’m also really worried something will happen with the clocks and we’ll miss it! (I know that’s unfounded in 2021, but still.). Is anyone else trying for real on Sunday and irrationally nervous about the time change?

Oh yesssss I am. It’s our only DHS day but it is what it is and just trying to keep fingers crossed.

I am right there with you! We arrive Saturday at noon and will enjoy WL for the day and dinner at Sanaa. Then we set our alarms for 6:30 am Sunday, which will feel like 4:30 am to us because of the time difference from Texas. At least we’re not from the West Coast! I am hoping the time difference might reduce the numbers at rope drop...

Second try this morning, and I wasn't quite as quick: got BG #47. Very happy and relieved to have success on both our HS days. This time it was just DH and me--we didn't have DS special needs trying, too. He was actually stressing me out so this was better, but we did have a slight snafu. DH went maybe a half-second too early? 6:59:58 1/2 rather than 6:59:59+ and he had to go back so if I had glitched we would have been SOL. I had a mini-panic when it took me slightly longer to get to the first screen after hitting the first button (I went from my queues and he went from AT home page). We have an early lunch (11 am) so hopefully we won't have an issue. Thanks again for all the help. This thread is the best

After mixed success for weeks practicing from home, I landed BG 4 this morning. When I showed up to the attraction there were very few people there and the ride attendants escorted us past the first part of the ride and straight to the ride vehicle. Disappointed, I went to GS to to complain that there was no notification of this or an option to ride later and the best they could do was a FastPass for any other attraction at the park.

Trying again tomorrow. Also, the park was absolutely jammed by 10:00 am.

Were there no BG given out at 1 PM today? The second Join button never showed for me. It looked like they were on groups 30-something to 40-something at that time, which says to me they were having issues with the ride. Aren't they normally at much higher groups by 1 PM?

I tried and also was not successful but was testing out the change mentioned yesterday so thought that might have made the difference.

They’re up to group 130 now (6:15pm) so I would guess they gave some out at 1:00 but you and I were just not fast enough.

I purposely tried clicking beside the second join button today and as reported yesterday it didn’t do anything as opposed to going to the ride info screen as it did in the past.

I can report the same for Android, after updating to the latest version.

I didn't even have a recent Android update and I just checked and nothing happens at all when I click anywhere on the second join screen.

That wasn't the case previously - even "off" times I could click anywhere and get taken to the info page. I'll give it a try tomorrow on my 1pm practice. (Willing to sacrifice my perfect practice record for research!! )

Third time we have failed to get a BG since the 7am drop was instituted. Gone in less than 3 seconds again. We'll try again at 1pm. Are there any new recommendations other than turn off wifi?

Ive been practicing the two diff ways you could join the group and I seem to have more success from the AT AT screen. With the other way, am I supposed to keep refreshing the page? Or at 7:00 does the Join button pop up automatically? I keep refreshing and i think thats throwing off my timing. Im just curious, cuz by my experience now, Im DEF going with AT AT screen!

Just got boarding group #1 and while I’m beyond excited, wondering does that mean I have to go immediately at rope drop? Was planning to hit Tower and RnR early without the lines - how long do I have to get to Rise once they call my number?

The moment the clock changes to 7AM or 1PM I click Join, Join, Join as fast as possible and am successful the vast majority of times. (I am practicing from home)

We are getting closer to the 7 days of full park reservations at all the parks so you could be quite right that many are trying so the challenge is volume.

You will have 1 hour from when your BG is called although I’m not sure if it’s called before park opening if you will have 1 hour from then or 1hour from official park opening. Hopefully someone who has experienced this can share.

Ok so for sure I think Ill just stick with this method! This is what I meant by the AT AT screen. I think ive been successful on my tries that way each time. The other way, it has worked for me a couple times by joining the virtual queue, but lately i get the red screen more than the “Not so fast!” when I try that way.

I clicked join in the virtual queue(didn’t have second phone to use world clock) clicked join at rise screen then on friends and family and it took me forever to find my DH in my huge list. I failed of course. I did end up removing all but 4 other friends and family. For whatever reason I can’t remove the others. Any tips?

Don't search for family members. When you do it for real anyone with a park pass will be pre-selected.
