Thanks for everyone’s time. After reading all the tips, we did it cold this am without practice and got BG20.

2 phones logged into the same account. My 11 year old got it. We did NOT use Disney resort WiFi (diagnostic speed and ping tests at our particular hotel suggested it would be slower, especially last night as guests were using it in their rooms; I could only suspect the traffic surge at the stroke of 7 wouldn’t help). We did experience a short blue circle delay. My 11yo son got it faster than me; my phone gave an error since he’d gotten through and it seemed that it hadnt happened for us this try, and I felt ok. But he had a sheepish grin and said he clicked them twice like I said and closed out the page. So I exited the app and returned and there it was! So nice pleasant surprise.

To summarize what has been said here a ton: click the 1st blue JOIN, then the next blue JOIN at bottom of next screen. Do NOT read anything. The system will do all the linking. Just click, click, exhale.

Re: 3) Don’t stop to even read who is selected. Just click and go or you will most likely lose out on your opportunity for a BG. If you’re successful, then check who it grabbed. It should only be the two with park tickets for the day. If it happens to miss 1 of you speak to someone at a blue umbrella in the park and they should be able to add the second person.
Do I only need to pick one person who has a park ticket or everyone that is going that day?

Don't pick anyone. They are automatically selected. No kidding, if you hesitate you're not getting it.
Awesome, I've practiced a few times and I always have to pick someone in my party. Maybe because its not the actual day I have a reservation.

What they are saying is, if you are practicing, probably only your own name will come up, it's ok...don't stop to add anyone, just click JOIN as fast as you can. You SHOULD get the message asking if everyone has a park reservation - if you get that, you would have been fast enough to get a BG if it were for real.

Once you are trying for real, everyone with a park reservation will automatically be selected, and again, DON'T STOP to check, just click JOIN as fast as you can.

Well our first serious practice this afternoon and we both got in successful.

So practice it a few more times. I have HS park reservations on 5 of our 10 days in January. The hope is to get a boarding group our first full day and cancelling 2/3 of the other days for our trip and move to AK/Epcot/MK.

Tomorrow is the big day. I’ve read many pages of this thread but still have one question.

People on here have had a good success with multiple people trying at the same time. Does it make a difference if both players are logged into the same account or logged into their own accounts? Right now we’re both logged into our MDE apps with our own accounts. Just want to make sure we don’t need to be using the same account.

Either way will work. Last Monday and Thursday we had four or five of us trying through our individual accounts. DDiL got BG 3 on Monday and DD got BG 9 on Thursday. There were 9 of us in 3 families.

Tuesday, Dec 22.
Stayed at the Swan.
Set alarm for 6:45, so I had time to wake up a little. Went to time.gov on my laptop for the timing. Used 4G on my phone; Swan wi-fi sucked.
Closed and re-opened MDE at 6:55. Went to the join queue part at 6:57 and pulled down a couple times to practice refreshing.
When time.gov hit 6:59:58 refreshed the join queue page, pressed the button, pressed the button, and got group 9.

Entered HS at 9:40ish and walked right onto the ride.

To followup, they gave us a lecture about too many people trying on one account (it was more than one account but had one overlapping person listed) but added us to the boarding group.
Hi - we will be traveling next week with two other families so I hope we can learn from your experience here! We are three families with separate reservations but all linked as traveling together and myself and the two other moms all have My Disney Experience accounts. We can all three see each other and all family members within our friends and family list - I am the primary planner and made all the park reservations for everyone, but the other moms have the ability to make plans for my family as well.

So - can each of the three moms all be logged into our respective My Disney Exp. accounts and all try at same time? Or do we need to choose one mom's My Disney Exp. account and then all three of us log into that one account on respective phones and try? I hope that makes sense!

Returned from WDW on Christmas Eve and again have to thank this thread. We were able to secure a boarding group for 4 on the cellular network from the Wilderness Lodge balcony. I tried having two phones but one logged out and got stuck at 6:59am! Thankfully the other one worked. We actually were on the ride when it went down on Monday. We were escorted from our vehicles and walked THROUGH the ride and backstage! They supplied Fastpasses for us to return whenever the ride was functional. I suppose not many can say they rode ROTR one and a half times in a day. 😄

You can each log into your own accounts. We did that very thing last week - 9 people in 3 families with 4 MDE accounts trying at the same time, one family got our BG on Monday and another family got it on Thursday. MTFBWY!

Thank you!! From the previous families experience I was worried we would knock each other's families out possibly - but I am glad you were able to verify it works - and that y'all got through! Thank you so much for your info!!

I have been practicing try to get a Boarding pass, once with no luck and the 2nd time I clicked join and then next for my party, then it had something at the park about not having a park reservation. I think I did everything correctly but because I don't have a park reservation for that day, that is as far as I can go with practicing.
