My DD and I went to Ariel's and Minnie's (aka Plaza Inn) for breakfast on Sunday May 31st and Monday June 1st. Food at both very good. Chef Adam at Plaza Inn was especially helpful with our food allergies.

Princesses we saw at Ariel's Grotto--Ariel Belle, Cinderella, Rapunzel and Tiana.

Characters we saw at Plaza Inn--Minnie, Max, Chip, Dale, Captain Hook, Peter Pan, Fairy Godmother, Rafiki, Eeyore and Tigger.

We went to Minnie's Monday and saw all those characters plus Rabbit. However, Minnie missed our table (and those around us) when she was in our section, and even with pointing this out to staff, it took almost an hour to see her after her initial pass through.

Chiming in with Surf's Up a couple days ago - We saw Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, Pluto, and Stitch. I think that's pretty much the usual there, as I read on DIS to expect those.

We were at Minnie's today for the earlies seating. Minnie actually came by our table while my boys were up getting food so they missed her but she did come back. We saw Pinocchio for the first time! I have always had good luck meeting many characters there but we do always try to do first seating. Not sure if that makes a difference or not.

We will be at DLR in September, so based on past history, I think the parks will generally be opening at 10:00. Does anybody know what time the earliest seating would be at Minnie's that time of year? Could we do the earliest seating and be done before park opening? Normally I hate to miss any morning park time on a breakfast, but I love the idea of seeing so many characters in one place!

That's great to hear. I've got ADRs at bothof those and we too have food allergies.

Question: How long did your meal at Plaza Inn take? I'm nervous about that since we have a 10:40 ADR and I think their QS lunch opens at 11:30 though with them allowing 10:40 ADRs I would have thought it wouldn't open until noon.

Gosh the length of time really depends on your party. The food is already prepared (except for the omelet station of course) so it's really more a question of how long your group takes to eat. We were definitely out of there in less than an hour

Do you mind sharing what allergies you have and what they served you? DS has dairy, peanut, egg, tree nuts and sesame.

We always do before the park opens and only lose maybe 30 mins of a normally park ride day. But seeing 8-12 chrs at Minnie's is always a highlight for us. I think it is true the earlier the better. Late sittings may have chrs begin to leave. hour to an hour in half is a good time to budget.

DD here. I have a corn allergy and my momma has a wheat/gluten allergy. At Ariel's, I had the All-American Breakfast without the muesli; my momma had the Spinach-Artichoke and Egg White Frittata without the muesli. However, due to cross-contamination, we did both get sick (at the tail end of the meal, though). At Minnie's, the chef made me eggs, bacon (which is what made me sick at Ariel's, because they keep it in the same pan as the sausage I'm allergic to; I had no issues at Minnie's with it due to the chef's diligence) and potatoes. My momma had gluten free waffles, bacon, eggs, and potatoes. Not only was the food at Minnie's better, but we had no allergy issues there. Both restaurants were very accommodating, and we really enjoyed both meals. I hope that your trip with food allergies goes well for y'all :)

My DD and I went to the Ariel's dinner a few years ago and I do have to say, You get sooooo much food!! We could have shared a meal and we would have each been full! The food was good and the dessert platter was huge. I saw a post not long ago though that showed a picture of the dessert plate now and it looked much smaller so I don't know if that has been changed or not or if the poster had ordered something different. I think it cost us around 60, but it was probably 3 or 4 years ago. BTW, does anyone know if Goofy's kitchen has the crème brulee French toast again? It was amazing and we were so disappointed when we went there last time and it was not offered. It's not something I would eat on a regular basis, but while on vacation, for a special treat, it was just sooooo good and our family really looked forward to it!

Thank you!! I'm amazed to hear even the allergy waffles were already made. That sound wonderful! I'm so used to our meals taking so long because chefs don't have much prepped for allergies since allergies can vary so much. I sure hope the waffles are also egg and milk free. Did they have any kind of baked goods that were safe for either of you?

I'm really saddened by your experience at Ariel's. Disney chefs are better trained than that for allergies. The chef should have known to use a fresh pan.

Chef Adam at Plaza Inn made all of our food fresh for us. I did have yummy gluten free treats at Jolly Holiday and Starbucks (inside the parks) also the gluten free muffin at Ariel's Grotto was amazing.

Thanks for the info! What time did you eat at each place?

First seating at each. 9am at Ariel's and 8am at Plaza Inn.

We were at Ariel's Grotto for breakfast on Friday May 29th and saw Ariel, Snow White, Tiana, Jasmine, and Cinderella that day. Bummer that we just missed Belle & Rapunzel! Those are my oldest daughter's two favorite and we didn't get to see them anywhere (except on parade floats)

I'm glad to hear the Surf's Up report. We are doing that breakfast as well as lunch at Ariel's (which we have done twice before). We've never done Surf's Up, but have done Goofy's and Minnie's twice each.

Thanks for sharing this! I just made a reservation for June 23rd. I hope Max is still there. My family and I have been wanting to meet him for years!
