Recessional Toss Items in the parks

I know you can do rose petals for a recessional toss and you can bring them in yourself, but could I also bring in dried lavender for a lavender toss since it's just as biodegradable as roses? We're getting married in Epcot, and I've found that I can do a lavender toss for much cheaper on my own (around $15) than a petal toss. I just want to make sure it's ok without bothering my coordinator if I can help it.
